Deciding it would be better than fighting the Monstrous Nightmare, Hiccup flees Berk, heading south towards a more peaceful land, and a more peaceful life in the kingdom of Arendelle.

- Adaptation Name Change: Agnarr's name is changed to "Agdar".
- Dramatic Irony: Agdar had intended on telling Hiccup who he really was right before he and his wife were Lost at Sea.
- For Want Of A Nail:
- After Hiccup left, Fishlegs began avoiding the rest of his peers and Gobber developed a foul mood and broke off his friendship with Stoick.
- In-canon, Fishlegs and Meatlug inadvertently invents Gronckle-Iron. Here, Hiccup is the one who invents it with a stray Gronkle he happened to find and befriend.
- With a husband and a baby on the way, Elsa doesn't abdicate the throne to Anna like in Frozen II.
- Elsa and Anna's parents are still alive. Instead of dying in the storm, they were found and captured by Drago's warlords, about to be executed before Dagur pulls a fast one and brings them with him during his escape.
- In Spite of a Nail:
- Hiccup's presence in Agdar's life did nothing to prevent him and Iduna being lost at sea.
- Hiccup still meets and befriends Heather and teaches her how to tame Windshear.
- Despite Hiccup, Toothless, Heather and Windshear living in Arendelle, the events of Frozen play out exactly as canon, the dragon riders relegated to damage control during the storm.
- Chapter 12 plays exactly the same as Olaf's Frozen Adventure. The only real difference is that Olaf has a run-in with Toothless after collecting the various traditions and Hiccup asks Elsa if he can court her in the end. She says yes.
- Hiccup and Toothless still happen upon Valka and the Dragon's Den. This time it was just them exploring and not out looking for Drago.
- Heather still meets Hiccup, although in Arendelle instead of Berk, having been working at a bar there and happening to recognize him.
- King Incognito: Hiccup had no idea that the guy he would eventually come to see as a father-figure and future father-in-law was the King of Arendelle.
- Living Legend: After Hiccup, Heather and their dragons save the orphans and nun at the orphanage from Elsa's storm, news of their presence hiding out in Arendelle circulated in the form of "the Dragon Whisperers". While Elsa has more guards patrol the town, she does not make it a big enough deal both to keep panic among the citizenry down and the fact she had heard only good things about them.
- Secret-Keeper:
- Hiccup confesses to Agdar who he is and that he is harboring Toothless, unaware that Agdar already knew about him with Arendelle's political standing with Berk.
- Heather recognizes Hiccup for who he was and questions what Berk's heir is doing in a foreign kingdom by himself.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Hiccup develops a compulsive love for Helen's bread. Considering Berk's food is described as "tough and tasteless", the quality is likely better than what he grew up with.
- Wham Episode: Chapter 2:
- Agdar meets Hiccup.
- Chapter 4: Hiccup introduces Agdar to Toothless.
- Chapter 7: Hiccup meets Heather, who knows who he really is.
- Chapter 12: Hiccup and Elsa are now officially a couple.
- Chapter 14: Stoick, Gobber, and the teens arrive in Arendelle. Elsa gets her own dragon.
- Chapter 19: Elsa and Anna's parents are still alive, having been captured by Drago's warlords before escaping with Dagur.
- What If?: What if instead of staying to tame the Monstrous Nightmare, Hiccup and Toothless leave and put down roots in Arendelle?
