Haunted Corruption is a Balan Wonderworld Script Fic written by LovelyTeng2002. The fanfiction involves Cal Suresh and his friends visiting the Balan Theater. He later realizes that his friends are acting creepy towards him. Once the twelve inhabitants left the theater, they saw their nega-boss equivalents and tried to defend themselves. But it is too late. The inhabitants are slowly starting to transform into their nega-boss counterparts as they all figure out how to stop it. Meanwhile, Leo and Emma later meet Cal as they talk to him about the twelve zodiac signs, representing the twelve inhabitants living in this world. As the twelve inhabitants and the two visitors join, they're known as the Wonder Stars.The story is, unfortunately, an Orphaned Series. The author herself abandoned the fanfiction at 15 chapters long before moving on to other fanfiction based on her other fandoms, such as Mixels.

- And I Must Scream: Played straight with the other inhabitants, but exaggerated with Cal Suresh. When Cal met Fortstoper IV, he forced him to slowly transform into his corrupted self, making his mental health drop.
- Big Bad: The twelve nega-bosses are the main villains of this fanfiction.
- Big "WHAT?!": Sometimes, the inhabitants will say this when one of the inhabitants has gone wrong.
- Body Horror: When the inhabitants are slowly transforming into their nega-boss counterparts, they can still retain their human form.
- Colour-Coded for Your Convenience: The Stonger Destiny is blue, the Together's Optimists is yellow and Hurray Successors is red.
- Curse: The magical solution to turn the inhabitants into the Nega-bosses they will eventually become.
- Doesn't Know Their Own Birthday: Averted, as all the characters are given a birthday that is assigned to their zodiac signs as noted below:

- Forced Transformation: When the twelve nega-bosses spell a Curse on their human counterparts, they begin slowly turning into them.
- The Leader: Cal Suresh, Eis Glover, and Bruce Stone take major roles in chapters 9 to 11 as noted in each of their teams:
- Stonger Destiny (Cal Suresh)
- Together's Optimists (Bruce Stone)
- Hurray Successors (Eis Glover)
- No Name Given: Averted, as the background characters are also given names. The background characters not having names are played straight in the original game.
- Original Character: There are lots of OCs that are mentioned in the fanfic, such as Wally Darren (Who is not to be confused with Wally Darling) and Katherine Provinsky.
- Orphaned Series: The fanfiction is later abandoned after 15 chapters.
- Playing with Syringes: When Cal Suresh was twelve years old, he made a big mistake by mixing strange fluids in a flask. The fluids turned violet and bubbled until they exploded, causing his classmates (Including his friend Eis) to be scared in the lab room where the science class took place.
- Script Fic: The entire fanfic is like this.
- The Smart Guy: Cal Suresh is considered the leader and brains of the twelve inhabitants.
- Song Fic: Sometimes, lyrics will appear when one or more characters sing it.
- Title Drop: As the twelve inhabitants (including Cal Suresh) and the two visitors (Leo and Emma) join together, they're known as the Wonder Stars.
- Other teams include the Stonger Destiny, Together's Optimists, and Hurray Successors, which are all revealed in the victory themes during chapters 9 to 11.
- Western Zodiac: The zodiac is discussed when Leo and Emma discuss it with Cal. The zodiac symbols also represent the twelve inhabitants of Balan Wonderworld. The following section is a list of all characters with obvious zodiac signs (Subverted with Leo and Emma, however.)
