The Epic Love-verse is a series of fics which attempt to fix one particular aspect of The Force Awakens, namely Han and Leia's relationship. So far, the series includes four installments: the completed "Epic Love", the in-Progress "The Solo Girls", and a pair of oneshots.
Epic Love and its sequels feature the following tropes:
- Beta Couple: Luke and Wedge, whose relationship is less developed than Han and Leia's.
- Dreaming of Things to Come: Jaina does this. She specifically has multiple nightmares about Han's death at her brother's hands. Thankfully, these allow her and Luke to avert Han's fate.
- Easily Forgiven: Wedge forgives the Skywalker-Solos pretty easily for lying to him about Jaina's death and Han's remaining faithful to Leia. To be fair, though, he learned it at a deeply emotional moment and was probably too relieved that Han had survived to care.
- Fix Fic: Of The Force Awakens, namely by keeping Han and Leia together.
- Happily Adopted: At the end, both Finn and Rey are essentially adopted by the Skywalker-Solo clan.
- Locked Out of the Loop: Poor Wedge, who is not informed that Han didn't leave Leia and that Jaina is still alive.
- Precocious Crush: Downplayed with Jaina, who seems to have a bit of a crush on Poe while still underage.
- Primal Scene: Barely averted by Jaina, who hears "noises" and flees.
- Spared by the Adaptation: Han ends up surviving.
- That Man Is Dead: In a variant, this is stated about Ben Solo not by Kylo Ren, but by several other characters about him. Finn even lights a memorial candle for him at one point.
