Lyra Heartstrings is obsessed with her theory that humans exist and that there is a conspiracy devoted to keep such facts secret. Dragging her best friend Bon Bon along for the ride, she goes out of her way to prove the existence of humans. Following one such endeavor where they use a giant telescope to knock down a meteor Lyra thinks is a human spaceship, the pair encounters a mysterious and friendly pony-like creature called Trustworthy McLegitimate. Unbeknownst to the duo, however, following this meeting, all the ponies in Ponyville begin to act very strange.

- Help, I'm Stuck!: While trying to sneak into the Ponyville Museum, Lyra gets stuck in a window. She doesn't get worked up about it, but Bon Bon freaks out.
- I Need to Go Iron My Dog: To cover up the fact that she's helping Lyra break into the museum, Bon Bon tells the attendant her house is on fire. Surprisingly, he takes it in stride.
- Noodle Incident: Apparently, during one meteor shower, Rainbow Dash thought it would be cool to try to race around them. She ended up fracturing most of her bones as a result.
- Persona Non Grata: Due to Lyra's shenanigans, she is banned from the Ponyville Museum, alongside Nightmare Moon and Ahuitzotl. After the latest stunt at the museum, Bon Bon is banned as well.
- Reports of My Death Were Greatly Exaggerated: Due to Lyra's rainbow beam that hit a meteor being mistaken for Rainbow Dash, most of the ponies were under the assumption that she was dead. Rainbow was rightfully miffed about it.
- Running Gag: Lyra just isn't good with fire mana.
