Confluence
is a Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines fic by SylverStorms. It follows that game's protagonist- here an earnest, fierce woman named Iris- her battles through the deadly politics of Santa Monica, and her growing relationship with Therese and Jeanette Voerman, the diametrically opposite Elder sisters.

This fanfic includes the following tropes:
- Adaptation Expansion: Confluence provides a detailed backstory for the Fledgling/Iris, and an explanation for some of her incongruous strength: she's an ex-Hunter with experience fighting vampires and a limited ability to draw on True Faith. Canon events are mostly the same, but a lot of stuff happens in between them.
- Hive Mind: Malkavian madness takes the form of multiple voices talking in the "background" of a Malkavian's mind. These voices come from other Malkavians; Jeanette knows a new Fledgling is in town because she hears them reacting to her arrival, and learns about Iris' heritage partly because the voices realized it before she did. Normally the voices are easily tuned out, but when a listener is stressed or a controversial event has just happened, they get debilitatingly loud. And yes, Malkavians can "talk" to each other this way.
- Square Race, Round Class: Iris is a high-Humanity Ventrue, much to Jeanette and Therese's surprise. Instead of selfishness and effete standards of living, her clan pride manifests as stubborn independence and occasionally-fanatical bigotry."You...fucking leeches."
