The Broken Dimensions continuity is an on-going series of fanfics written by davethesprigtrapmiler
, which so far has three stories:
The first is broken dimensions(sic) a crossover between The Amazing World of Gumball, Spawn and Marvel Universe and some of it’s alternate continuities as Marvel 2099, where Gumball takes the place of Spider-Man, and meets other heroes and villains as from his world as from others.
The second is Breaking a Spin-Off of Broken Dimensions that tells the life after death of the fic’s version of Spawn before his first appearance on Broken Dimensions; it’s a crossover between Spawn and Helluva Boss, where instead of Al Simmons, the hitman killed by Winn is named Jackson, and ends in Helluva Boss’ Hell.
The third is "a spider's breaking point" (sic), a Sequel to "broken dimensions".
An easter egg on the first story hints that City Hero could be in the same multiverse as well.

- Alternate Universe Fic: Both fics have several continuity differences with the original works that make clear that are not happening in the same world.
Broken Dimensions Provides Examples of:
- Adaptational Backstory Change: Unlike most versions of Spider-Man, here he gets his powers after being bitten by a radioactive spider, here he gets them after being pushed in a experiment designed to give people superpowers.
- Adaptational Villainy: Harold Wilson was already a Jerkass in the original show, but here is the second identity of The Green Goblin, who has helped three supervillains to break out from prison and organized with them a plan to send the city into chaos, killed many host and employers of a hotel, and has many attempts of kill Gumball.
- Ax-Crazy: The Green Goblins are both mad bombers that doesn’t look to have any plan but fight and destroy all he can and fight anybody who attempt to stop him, he neither follows other’s plans when is on a team or working for somebody; Mister Negative and Mysterio also start acting a bit like this when attack Elmore blowing up everything and everyone in their way.
- The Cameo: During Gumball and Green Goblin fight they go to a dimension where a man with a bat suit and a clown are fighting.
- Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: Norman Osborn a.k.a The Green Goblin betrays Derek Powers with no reason but that he found being a rogue funnier.
- Darkest Hour: During the first two parts of "The City That Never Sleeps" Gumball/Spider-Man is rushed and knocked out into hospital and Mister Negative and Mysterio are sending the city into chaos and killing the cops who try to stop them.

- Derek Powers is indirectly responsible of Nicole’s death by ordering Shocker attack.
- An alternate version of The Green Goblin killed an alternate universe version of gumball's girlfriendnote .
- Mad Bomber: Both Green Goblins often attacks people with bombs and in the case of Harold Wilson use or at least try to use them as weapons in fights.
- Noodle Incident: Anais mentions that The Kingpin was in prison because was proved that he was related to a train accident, but we don’t get much information about that.
- Shout-Out: When Prowler ask Batman who is him, his answer is:"What are you dense are you stupid or something? Who the hell do you think I am? I'm the goddamn batman".
- Taking You with Me: During his final fight with Gumball, Green Goblin tries to use a bomb to kill both of them.
Breaking provides examples of:
- Demon Lords And Arch Devils: Clown says that are many governors of hell, which Malebolgia is a member.
