The international terrorist organization COBRA is working on something big, something that bodes ill for the world of the Core Timeline. And so SHIELD Team Seven, a covert ops group, is mobilizes to learn more about it. Led by Maria "Captain America" Vincennes, this ragtag group must infiltrate a COBRA train, locate the pertinent information regarding Cobra's latest scheme, and get out without being detected.
Unfortunately, not everything goes as planned...
Coreline: Operation: Snake Charmer
is a one-shot story that is part of the Coreline Shared Universe.
This story has the following Tropes:
- Cool Train/Starship Luxurious: The COBRA train is this-the "ballroom car" is mentioned to be as (or even more) luxurious than that of a cruise liner's, it's insanely big, incredibly fast, and can carry enough supplies and personnel that it is a mobile COBRA base. Some snarking is done about the paint job that is supposed to make it look like a gigantic snake, though.
- The Infiltration: Fujiko manages to slip aboard the Cobra train by impersonating an alt of the Baroness.
- Latex Perfection: Fujiko is able to pass herself off as the Baroness, thanks to this.
- Sequel Hook: What, exactly, is Cobra Commander planning?
- Sigil Spam: Not unsurprisingly, the COBRA sigil and cobra imagery is all over the place inside the train.
