- Take a sip whenever competitors trip on the course, interrupting Matt and Akbar's commentary.
- Another sip if they manage to save themselves and continue on.
- Take a shot whenever Kacy Catanzaro - the first woman ever in ANW history to finish Qualifying and Finals courses - is mentioned. Add one more if she's shown on camera.
- Add a swig whenever other top female ninjas are announced.
- Take a swig every time "[Insert the name of the competitor here] goes out on [Insert the name of the obstacle here]!" or some variation of this line is heard.
- Down the shot every time when the particular difficult obstacle (Cannonball Alley, for example) continues claiming its "victims".
- Finish the drink if it's finally conquered.
- Take a shot every time Matt and Akbar compliment competitors' progress on the course right before they fall into the water.
- Down a shot every time the competitors fall into the water on the very first obstacle.
- Down one more for each time they can't climb over the Warped Wall.
- Take a swig whenever competitors fail to progress through any Stage of the National Finals.
- One more if they manage to time out.
- Finish the drink whenever they move on to the next Stage.
- Down a shot every time competitors sustain serious injuries while running on the course.
- Add one more if they'll be hospitalized.
- Take a swig each time whenever top competitors' nicknames are mentioned ("Captain NBC", "The Godfather", "Real-Life Ninja", etc.).
- Take a shot every time male competitors go shirtless.
- Take a swig every time Akbar explains what went wrong with competitors who failed the course.
- Down a shot for every Walk-On competitor.
- A couple more if it's Kevin Bull who runs the course.
- Take a shot for every triumphant celebration atop the Warped Wall, City Finals Tower, etc.
- One more if Ryan Stratis performs his signature roar.
- Take a shot every time the competitor shows off on the course.
- Take a shot for every successful fast run.
- Take a shot whenever competitors take way too much time on a single obstacle.
- Bonus swig if they fail on the following obstacle.
