* Tropes/{{Daxjones96}}: I've been going off them for a while now, because they're becoming increasingly unfunny to my mind, and they prioritise making jokes over meaningful criticism. However, the tipping point came in their review of ''Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol3'', specifically Lyla's death and Rocket's traumatised reaction. Jeremy's reaction, to one of the most emotional scenes in the movie? An unsympathetic "Wah", and a sin. This bears repeating: Jeremy's response is to mock Rocket for his loss - the exact same response that the High Evolutionary, the antagonist of the movie, had! I'm honestly shocked that he displayed such a response, even for the purpose of a joke. And yes, I know ''[=CinemaSins=]'' is supposed to be satirical. I just don't feel like mocking grief and trauma is funny or appropriate, whether the grief in question is fictional or real. From this point on...I'm out.

** Tropers/Ryanruff13: Agreed. Nevermind how not only does he give another sin for the same thing later in the video, but also the fact that power being generated from laughs ends up being a major plot point at the end of the movie. Even if he simply misremembered the prior scene, why was he so willing to believe that laughing had no effect based on one exception[[note]](Jeremy cites a scene where Boo is laughing without the lights dimming in the factory [which was actually revealed in the ''Monsters, Inc.'' commentary to be intentional]. Fair enough for somebody who isn't aware of said commentary, but still, it was only one exception to the "laughing creating energy" plot point.)[[/note]] to the extent of ignoring one of the main points of the movie?

* Tropers/JadeEyes1: During the video for ''WesternAnimation/ToyStory1'', in the scene where Bo Peep is introduced and flirts with Woody, Jeremy adds a sin because "This scene does not contain a cartoon lap dance". Really? You're complaining because there isn't a lap dance in an animated, G-Rated children's film? Yes, I know it's just a joke and the scene is peppered with {{double entendre}}s, but that's just going too far.

* Tropers/PassiveSmoking: I found the ''Blade Runner'' video extremely obnoxious. While I think the film is an absolute classic, I'm also not saying the film is above criticism (there's plenty to be said for its pacing, and Leon's Vought Kampff test does raise some legitimate plot holes about how he got a gun in and how he escaped afterward, for example), but most of his other complaints are just churlish and demonstrate a severe lack of knowledge on his part about both Blade Runner and movie making in general. He complains about cliches without bothering to ask where those cliches come from (in most cases, [[SeinfeldIsUnfunny it was Blade Runner itself]]). He sins the movie for not realising that America's biggest airline and flag carrier would not be in business by the time 2019 came around. [[SarcasmMode Well, excuse Ridley Scott for not being clairvoyant!]] He complains about the UsedFuture aesthetic... in a freaking CyberPunk film! I mean, for crying out loud. And then, he decides to lay into Creator/RutgerHauer for overacting? Yeah, this is obviously just the worst kind of click-bait at this point.

* Miracle@StOlaf: I was going to pick the moment where they called out ''Film/JohnWickChapter2'' for the bad guy's BondVillainStupidity even though it absolutely didn't apply in that scene, but ultimately, the point where I finally tuned out was when they sinned ''Film/TheBabadook'' because the titular entity appears to the protagonist Amelia in the kindly old neighbor Mrs. Roach's home through her window, but doesn't do anything to harm or kill the elderly woman. Yeah, no shit, dude. Did you notice how Mrs. Roach didn't react at all to the terrifying monster in her living room? It's because for her, it's not there; it's an AnthropomorphicPersonification of Amelia's grief and resentment, so the only way it could have harmed the neighbor was if it drove her to march over there, kick the door in, and do it herself. The nature of the Babadook was honestly such a slow pitch to the audience that I'm surprised someone as "clever" as Jeremy missed it. Or not, since snark isn't the same thing as cleverness, and being a smug dickhead when you're dead-wrong about something isn't satirical or witty; it's just kind of obnoxious.

* Tropers/TeraChimera: Jeremy makes no secret that he doesn't like the movie, and BiasSteamroller doesn't begin to cover it. Numerous sins are minor things he'd overlook otherwise (like sinning the number of editors or pointing out that James Wan also directed ''Saw''), repeated several times ("This cliche is going to happen." '''DING''' "This cliche is happening." '''DING''' "This cliche just happened." '''DING'''), or just given massive amounts of sins for no real reason. Sometimes, the sins he gives flat-out contradict each other; he claims the characters are in no real danger due to their lack of injuries (which is legitimate, as MadeOfIron is taken a bit far), but the times when they are in danger, he just says, "They'd survive anyway". To make matters worse, he starts devolving into hating the fans just because. He claims that it's okay if you like it, as long you acknowledge it being a cartoon, but several (not one, several) sins are essentially nothing more than, "This movie made money and was critically-acclaimed? But I think it's stupid! How dare people like something I don't like!". He seems incapable of recognizing that people may enjoy it precisely because it's a live-action cartoon, and thinks they instead enjoy it because they're delusional morons. His exact words: "What's it like living in the Matrix?" Towards the end of the video, he starts avoiding legitimate, hard-to-miss sins (how can Hobbs operate, by hand, a mini-gun meant to be mounted on a Predator drone? Why did Dom wear his wifebeater to his wedding?) in favor of yet more fan-insulting.

* Tropers/{{dsneybuf}}: The ''WesternAnimation/{{Frozen|2013}}'' video marked the point where I really started becoming suspicious that Jeremy doesn't really give the movies he criticizes his full attention, since he questioned parts with explanations delivered right in the viewer's face. The earliest of these parts I can recall in this episode occurs when Anna meets the talking Olaf for the first time. "Why does Anna still remember Olaf?", Jeremy asks. Because Grand Pabbie gave her a memory of building Olaf outdoors. When I saw this video, I wished I could hit the dislike button more than once.
** Tropers/IzzyUneasy: In the end of his ''Frozen'' video, he said something like "Why can't Hans be with Elsa, and Weaselton will be the only villain?" That provides he understood jack shit about this whole deal.

* Tropers/{{toonyloon}}: I'm usually okay with Cinema Sins, but there is one example of research failure that I just can't ignore, that example being in their video for ''WesternAnimation/MonstersInc''. At one point, they sin the scene when Boo made the lights go out in the factory by laughing, because according to them, "the last time Boo made the lights go out, she was crying, not laughing". Anyone who paid even the slightest attention to the scene would know that the lights did indeed go out by her laughing; she only made the lights flicker when she was crying. To me, this was a kind of research failure that's impossible for me to ignore.

* Tropers/DoctorSleep: I'm aware that [=CinemaSins=] uses a very cynical sense of humor, but the ''"Everything Wrong With Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - Trailer 2"'' video just convinced me that Jeremy is incapable of feeling any kind of joy. The whole commentary was basically "DC movies can do no right". A message for Jeremy: You're watching a trailer. You have no more context for any of the scenes you're criticizing than the average viewer and anyone can see that you're only doing this for publicity. Stick to movies that have already come out if you want to look like a respectable critic.

* Tropers/{{Jackninja5SataniaLover}}: For me it was their review of ''WesternAnimation/Cars2''. As my least favourite Pixar film I was so looking to Jeremy ripping it to shreds (don’t be fooled, it’s comparatively higher ranking than most films I don’t like) but I was quite disappointed in it. My biggest irk was when he repeatedly pointed out how obvious it was that Miles Axlerod planned the whole thing. This is despite there being virtually no hints to him being so. Funny enough I actually found out it was him before watching the movie in the cinemas because I was spoiled by a magazine revealing him as the mastermind. The real sin is that it makes absolutely no sense for Axlerod to do this and Mater pointing it out was little more than dumb luck. While I’m still a fan of CinemaSins and not so much of ''WebOriginal/TheMysteriousMrEnter'', I actually found his evaluation of Axlerod’s responsibility to be more accurate. Instead it goes for a cheap spoiler joke that quite frankly wasn’t that funny.

* Tropers/TwilightLord: I usually like WebVideo/CinemaSins, but their ''WesternAnimation/TheLionKing1994'' video made me cringe, mainly because it felt like Jeremy was incapable of paying attention to the movie. He questions things that are actually explained in the movie itself, such as why Scar didn't kill Mufasa before Simba was born (even though Scar himself says "I was first in line, until the little hairball was born", meaning he had no reason to kill Mufasa before Simba was born) and why Scar wants to be king, implying his motivation is never explained even though he had a whole VillainSong dedicated to it and outright says that he wants to be "respected, saluted and seen for the wonder I am" during said song. The entire video came off like he just had the movie on in the background while he did other things and then decided to make a sins video based on what little he remembered[=/=]paid attention to. He also seems not to understand that a movie needs pacing, sinning the video for skipping over Simba's time growing up with Timon and Pumbaa despite the fact it added nothing to the plot (and ditto for Timon's backstory not being explained during "Hakuna Matata", even though it was in a scene that was cut for time and pacing), and a baffling joke disguised as a CriticalResearchFailure (or maybe the other way around) that doesn't even make sense and isn't funny (implying Africa no longer exists). It feels more like he just wanted to sin the movie because it's so popular but couldn't find anything actually wrong with it, so instead, he willfully ignored half of the movie in order to "make up" sins to fill out the video.

* Leftred9: While I think the Brand Sins video on Everything Wrong with Nintendo is pretty terrible overall (large amount of mispronunciations and multiple instances of a research failure), my main gripe with the video is the part where the host lists off and sins every Nintendo console and handheld for a total of fifteen sins. It serves nothing but to saturate the sin counter and the fact that the Nintendo products were sinned instead of actual problems with the company gave off bad impressions.

* Troper/DoctorSleep: I'm aware that [=CinemaSins=] uses a very cynical sense of humor, but the ''"Everything Wrong With Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - Trailer 2"'' video just convinced me that Jeremy is incapable of feeling any kind of joy.

* Troper/LDragon2: Jeremy saying in his Sins video for ''Film/CaptainAmericaTheWinterSoldier'' that if you like it, while that's fine, you are enjoying what is "essentially a Terry Gilliam fever dream". Really paints him as an extremely smug individual, and despite his words, also makes it come across like he views his intellect as superior to that of the people who liked the movie. Basically, a FanHater.
* Troper/{{Aspie}}: A lot of the video for ''Film/AvengersAgeOfUltron'' gives the impression that Jeremy hasn't been paying much attention during the previous MCU movies or even this one: He asks how the scepter ended up in HYDRA's hands, which isn't hard to figure out considering that S.H.I.E.L.D. takes alien items into custody (as seen in ''Film/{{The Avengers|2012}}'') and S.H.I.E.L.D. was essentially HYDRA (as established in ''Film/CaptainAmericaTheWinterSoldier''). He also calls out Scarlet Witch for defending her HYDRA experimenters and captors, ignoring the fact that she volunteered for the experiments, as the film makes fairly clear. He also claims that the movie ignores the question of what would happen if Banner was The Hulk when he tried to lift Thor's hammer, ignoring that ''The Avengers'' already addressed that point.

** IzzyUneasy: In the end of his ''Frozen'' video, he said something like "Why can't Hans be with Elsa, and Weaselton will be the only villain?" That provides he understood jack shit about this whole deal.
* wentesur: I can still remember Jeremy's snarky remark in Hollywood's fascination to split 1 book into 2 movies with ''Literature/HarryPotterAndTheDeathlyHallows'' as an example. However, he then did the exact same thing by uploading ''Film/ThePhantomMenace'' into 2 parts, each no longer than 14 minutes. I know that this is a minor problem, and Jeremy himself even stated on Twitter that splitting the videos was intentional. However, I personally have an impression that it's a mere excuse to make himself not being called a ''{{hypocrite}}'' (as probably some people had already called him out of it) for some of the fans who were aware of both Cinemasins channel and Cinemasins Jeremy. Even if it's really for joke purpose, it's actually bothersome. The contents are relatively short enough to be put in one video so no point in doing that.
* Troper/TeraChimera: The ''[[Film/TheFastAndTheFurious Furious 7]]'' video. Jeremy makes no secret that he doesn't like the movie, and BiasSteamroller doesn't begin to cover it.
** maxwellsilver: ''Furious 7'' ends with a heartfelt montage of Brian and an InMemoriam dedication to Creator/PaulWalker. How does Jeremy react? By complaining the montage doesn't have footage from an unrelated film featuring Paul Walker. That's just downright disrespectful.

* toonyloon: I'm usually okay with Cinema Sins, but there is one example of research failure that I just can't ignore, that example being in their video for ''WesternAnimation/MonstersInc''.
** [=Ryanruff13=]: Agreed.
* THOMASNATOR: The ''Film/SuckerPunch'' video, in which he repeatedly protests his misunderstanding of the film's plot, then proceeds to demonstrate a greater knowledge of it than I did after my first watching.
* Tropers/[=DrY9K=]: Their review of the ''Literature/{{Goosebumps}}'' movie, where they question why R.L. Stine does not seem to have any tools to bring his creations to life, such as a magic typewriter. The problem? He is literally shown to have a legitimate magic typewriter that makes what it types come true, and it serves as a plot device. How could they glance over that!?

* Tropers/JadeEyes1: During the video for ''WesternAnimation/ToyStory'', in the scene where Bo Peep is introduced and flirts with Woody, Jeremy adds a sin because "This scene does not contain a cartoon lap dance". * Tropers/MightyMewtron: I spent a long time defending Cinema Sins from its detractors, but the ''WesternAnimation/{{Coco}}'' video had some annoying moments. Specifically, he complains about the [[EasterEgg Easter Eggs]] from other Pixar movies being "too blatant"...except he plays the footage at about 1/4 speed in order to draw attention to them. If you have to alter the movie to make them legible, then they ''aren't'' blatant. This wasn't even played like a joke. This particular moment is when I decided to stop watching the videos because even the non-serious criticisms felt like reaches.
* Alex Andre: I've given up on [=CinemaSins=] the moment Jeremy decided to devote his time making numerous pop culture references, and I despise his SJW moments, as well as his infamous "[actress] isn't my girlfriend in this scene" and "scene does not contain lap dance" sins. Then the moment he hired Creator/KevinSmith to guest sin on ''A New Hope'', which led to him making raunchy and cringey sins, was when Jeremy picked up on that ever since. Now him making TMI sins (most of the time being in sins videos for animated/family films, which is borderline sex offender behavior right there) is his second favorite thing to do. The comment he made about corn dogs and explicitly mentioning his junk in the sins video for ''{{Film/Bumblebee}}'' was my former entry, but I've decided to include a different entry. In the sins video for ''Film/OnceUponATimeInHollywood'', he is appalled at Cliff beating one of the female Manson Family members to death. The moment he starting feeling sympathy for the freaking Manson Family, of all people, was when I realized that Jeremy has now entered immoral territory. This is coupled with his SJW behavior (as in complaining about women being treated negatively despite A) the child actress being treated well, and B) the female members of the Manson Family, again, deserving their alternate fates), and I can safely say that I have just had enough of this Twitter-worshipping clown.
* Tropers/Huntdaddy: The video for ''WesternAnimation/TheHunchbackOfNotreDameDisney'' is my new entry. Lately, I've been really irked at how Jeremy seems to point out moments in a movie that shouldn't technically count as "sins" but the moment that really solidified my annoyance was the moment in this video where during the scene where Quasimodo rescues Esmeralda and shouts "Sanctuary!" Jeremy, rather than either taking a sin off or keeping his mouth shut, says "I would remove all the sins from every movie ever if he threw her off the balcony like a wrestling move". Not only is this remark insulting to a truly epic scene that so many people put a ton of effort into, but it's downright hypocritical; of course you wouldn't remove sins if Quasimodo threw her to her death after literally just rescuing her, because not only would that be stupid, but it would be totally out of place in a ''Disney movie''. I guess some people could say that's the whole fun of this channel, but bits like this just seem too distasteful for me to ignore.
* Tropers/{{Generation81}}: I used to watch CS a lot, though admittedly Jeremy wasn't perfect, but my interest started really falling with the sins video for ''Film/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtlesOutOfTheShadows'', where his second sin was to repeatedly call kids stupid and blame them for the film happening even though no one liked the first. Way to come off as a [[ChildHater Child-Hating]] asshole, Jeremy, especially when the first one did have defenders.
* TheZippingEon: Honestly, Jeremy’s whole rant on Hollywood slacking because he didn’t approve of the Christopher Robin Winnie the Pooh movie and outright said its mere existence offended him was not only absurdly harsh, but almost laughable if you ask me, which in turn caused me to reevaluate CinemaSins as a whole and eventually just turned on it after a while.
* Tropers/GonzoLink: When I first discovered CinemaSins I got into it almost immediately due to the fast pace and sarcastic vibe of the series and its presentation and was a big fan for a while, but the more I dug into their archives the more something started to not sit quite right with me. I shrugged it off because I was enjoying myself for the most part and not really taking any criticisms they had about movies I like too seriously, but then I came around to their episode on the ''Film/{{Watchmen}}'' adaptation and that's where I abandoned ship almost immediately based on one sin in particular: The smiley face on Mars. Now, I'm not gonna assume that everyone on earth is immediately familiar with Mars' [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galle_(Martian_crater) Galle crater]] which contains several mountain range formations that make it look uncannily like a smiley face, but for Jeremy to assign it FIVE sins and then claim he thinks he's "being lenient"? That was the moment where it sunk in for me how shallow and arbitrary all their criticisms felt because, seriously, five whole sins for something that can be easily googled? It was also the moment I started finding myself increasingly more and more annoyed by the KnowNothingKnowItAll image they gave off, which by now felt less like a gimmick and more like their actual opinions. I subsequently turned them off and haven't looked back since.

This is coupled with his SJW behavior (as in complaining about women being treated negatively despite A) the child actress being treated well, and B) the female members of stuff the Manson Family, again, deserving their alternate fates), and I can safely say that makes me want to report him and place him on the sex offender list.I have just had enough of this Twitter-worshipping clown.

He complains about cliches without bothering to ask where those cliches come from (in most cases, it was Blade Runner itself).

* Tropers/AHauntedMind: The video for ''Film/TheGreatestShowman'', which is less of a funny nitpicking of the film's minor flaws and more like [[AuthorFilibuster an extended rant]] against the filmmakers for not portraying Barnum as [[{{Demonization}} a greedy, racist asshole]]. While PoliticallyCorrectHistory ''can'' be a legitimate issue, he seems to have a problem with the movie [[HistoricalHeroUpgrade ignoring]] Barnum's bigotry & [[TheBarnum taking advantage of his "freaks" in general]], [[{{Hypocrite}} despite the fact]] other movies he's covered like WesternAnimation/{{Pocahontas}} whitewashed the uglier aspects of the past as well, with only a few jokes from him mocking it, rather than it taking up almost the ''entire'' video. In short, he came across as a [[StopBeingStereotypical stereotypical]] [[PoliticalCorrectnessGoneMad Social Justice Warrior]] attempting to "take the creators to task" for [[ArtisticLicenseHistory deliberately glossing over]] the un-PC elements of a man's life-story in order to tell the story they wanted to tell.

* Two-Way Tad: I've given up on [=CinemaSins=] the moment Jeremy decided to devote his time making numerous pop culture references, and I despise his SJW moments, as well as his infamous "[actress] isn't my girlfriend in this scene" and "scene does not contain lap dance" sins. The pinnacle of one such sin was in the sins video for ''{{Film/Bumblebee}}'', where he makes mention of a girl putting a corn dog in her mouth in a seductive way, and goes on to say "Well, I guess if I wasn't circumcised... [[DefensiveWhat what?]]" [[SarcasmMode Yeah, because all 9 million of your subscribers wanted to know that, Jer.]] [[TooMuchInformation Disgusting.]] It's that type of stuff that makes me want to report him and place him on the sex offender list.

* Tropers/tentonaraft: In their recent Hush review, they keep referring to Nightwing as "Discount Robin". Nightwing is a well-established Bat-Family member, there's no reason for Jeremy not to know who Nightwing is.

* Tropers/{Generation81}}: I used to watch CS a lot, though admittedly Jeremy wasn't perfect, but my interest started really falling with the sins video for ''Film/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtlesOutOfTheShadows'', where his second sin was to repeatedly call kids stupid and blame them for the film happening even though no one liked the first. Way to come off as a [[ChildHater Child-Hating]] asshole, Jeremy, especially when the first one did have defenders.
