Roy Heather, (20 May 1935 — 3 September 2014), was a British actor best known for playing Sid in Only Fools and Horses.

He worked for an asbestos firm after leaving school, then did his National Service with the RAF. Following this, he had many different jobs but also developed an interest in acting. He was 44 when he made his first appearance in repertory theatre. During these rep days, he did Winter Journey, Reg in The Norman Conquests, the world premiere of Aurelia co-starring with Ingrid Pitt, and After Agincourt, where he debuted the role of Pistol.

He made his TV debut in a 1981 episode of It Ain't Half Hot, Mum. Series creators David Croft and Jimmy Perry didn't forget about him and quickly used him again in two episodes of Hi-de-Hi!. Following this, he was cast in the Only Fools and Horses episode, "The Long Legs of the Law", as Sid, a grubby café owner. Sid never appeared in another regular episode but appeared in twelve of the Christmas Episodes, cementing his place as one of the Only Fools regulars. After Mike Fisher was Put on a Bus due to the death of Kenneth MacDonald, Sid was given a bigger role in the final trilogy of Christmas specials as the new landlord of the Nag's Head.

During Only Fools, Heather made guest appearances in series including Just Good Friends, The Bill (as seven different characters), Terry and June, Bread (1986), Bottom, and Birds of a Feather. He also played the Old Man in Time Gentlemen Please. Following Only Fools, he played Sid once more in an episode of The Green Green Grass, a Spin-Off focusing on Boycie and Marlene, and did episodes of My Family and CASUAL+Y.

He died at the age of 79.
