Guerrero is married to actor/composer Johnny Guerrero. She has also been billed as Kimberly Norris (her maiden name) and Kimberly Norris Guerrero. She is a professor of Theatre, Film and Digital Production at UC Riverside in addition to acting.
Guerrero is involved with her husband in training Native and non-Native youth who want to be a part of the film/theatre industries. She has also been active spreading Native stories by these mediums to gain better representation of them.
