Jeremy Saulnier is a writer and director primarily known for dark and violent thrillers.
After writing, directing and producing his debut film Murder Party, he worked as a cinematographer on a number of indie films before putting himself on the map by writing and directing Blue Ruin and Green Room, which both received extremely high critical praise. He followed up with the larger-budget Hold the Dark, which premiered on Netflix and was more divisive.
All of the films he's directed feature a performance by Macon Blair, who also wrote Hold the Dark.
