Icon is an imprint of Marvel Comics, publishing creator-owned titles that are often darker and more mature than the regular Marvel titles. In this way it functions similar to DC's Vertigo.

It was launched in 2004 with Michael Avon Oeming and Brian Michael Bendis' superhero/detective series Powers, and David Mack's Kabuki, both of which were relocated from Image Comics. In June 2005 the imprint's third title, J. Michael Straczynski's Dream Police, was launched, followed in September by The Book of Lost Souls, also from Straczynski.

Not to be confused with the DC Comics' character Icon. For other "adult" imprints from Marvel, see Epic Comics (mainly creator-owned stand-alone works, like Icon but during the Eighties and Nineties) and Marvel MAX (mostly Darker and Edgier versions of Marvel Universe characters/titles).
