Television with backbone.

Grit is a broadcast digital subchannel airing in the United States owned by Katz Broadcasting. Due to the success of Bounce TV, it was decided to create a new channel aimed at adult males, emphasizing grizzled, tough action men. In particular, the channel absolutely adores westerns, airing almost nothing but them most days. It helps that the genre is largely dead in the modern market (as evidence by how few entries down below are wicked), meaning the licensing rights to the various series and movies are extremely cheap. Former broadcast home of Walker, Texas Ranger.

Can be found over-the-air, Dish Network, and streaming via Sling TV.

A secondary channel, called Grit Xtra, was released on streaming services like Roku and Freevee and features programming not on the main channel.

Current programming:

  • Death Valley Days
  • The Deputy
  • Laramie
  • The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp
  • Tales of Wells Fargo
