Céline Sciamma (born November 12, 1978) is a French director and screenwriter.
She graduated in screenwriting at the Fémis film school, where she was mentored by actor, director and screenwriter Xavier Beauvois. Common themes of her filmography include fluidity of gender and sexual identity among girls and, more broadly, coming of age.
She is openly lesbian herself.
