Anna Dawson, (27 July 1937), is a British actress best known for playing Violet in Keeping Up Appearances.

She learned acting skills from her time in repertory theatre companies after attending the Elmhurst Ballet School in Birmingham and training at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

Dawson appeared in many a musical down the West End. On TV, she played Mary Crawford in 23 episodes of Dixon of Dock Green in The '60s, various characters in 9 episodes of The Benny Hill Show between The '70s and The '80s, and in The '90s, was cast in Series 5 of Keeping Up Appearances as Hyacinth's rich sister Violet.

She is married to John Boulter, best known for appearing on The Black and White Minstrel Show.
