This is what we look like as cartoon characters
Witchblade Animated is an one shot American comic book series published by Top Cow Productions, based on the Witchblade/Darkness crossover comics. It centers around Sara Pezzini, a detective and the current wielder of the Witchblade, Jackie Estacado, the current Darkness bearer and Patience who just gets caught in the middle of their interactions and battles.
Witchblade Animated provides examples of:
- Art Shift: The characters are intentionally drawn more cutesy and cartoonish, presumably to simplify them for potential cartoon animation.
- Crossover:
- With two other Top Cow Productions series, most notably The Darkness, for obvious reasons.
- Heart of the Matter: The Heart of Darkness is an artifact that allows a person to control the current Darkness wielder absolutely. But there's a catch, a curse was placed on the Heart and if someone uses it, they'll be transformed into a Darkling for all eternity, forced to serve the power they sought to control.
- Shapeshifter Baggage: Just where does the Witchblade get the extra mass to change from its bracelet configuration to a full suit of armor?
