The more prominent of the two hostesses of the Dark Tournament. Koto resembles a cat or a fox. At the end of the manga, the two and Ruka, the nurse of the Dark Tournament, become the "Cult Trio" and become widely popular on human television. She also has a crush on Toya.

* CombatCommentator: She first provided media coverage for the Dark Tournament.

* DubText: The dub gave her a crush on Kurama, or at least on his demon form.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Although she usually comes off as amoral, she does object to the dirty methods used by two of Team Masho's members, expressing particular disgust at the way Bakken beats up on Kurama when the latter was clearly not in a condition to fight. She also goes surprisingly out of her way to save Juri from the Dragon of the Darkness Flame during Hiei and Bui's fight.

* BreakTheHaughty: Starts out arrogant but as Hiei gathers strength her nerve starts leaving her, then her cords start shreading.
* DefeatByModesty: Started to go this route but sadly Kuwabara won before all of Ruka's cords were destroyed.
* EvilRedhead: Though more like Jerkass Redhead as she was simply a PunchClockVillain overall.
* HelloNurse: About every man's reaction to first seeing her. Even better she first steps out in a nurse uniform.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Or in her case Hoist by her own cords, but narrowly averted. While she was able to able to restrain Hiei and Genkai behind her barrier, it also had an unbeknownst healing effect which Hiei benefitted from. Had [[MoralityPet Yukina]] not shown up at the right time, Ruka's life would have ended almost immediately after.

* AvengingTheVillain: Not any of Team Masho's members' objective, but their [[TheTeamBenefactor sponsor]], Butajiri, wants to get back at Tarukane's killers. Subverted in that he didn't give two craps about [[AssholeVictim Tarukane]], but Butajiri is a pompous Plutocrat who is pissed off at the audacity of a bunch of [[WorkingClassHero downtrodden]] Delinquents taking out a fellow CorruptCorporateExecutive and now wanting to "put them in their place". They are willing to fight and sacrifice themselves for the sake of their comrades, are dedicated to a cause rather than BloodKnight tendencies, [[AffablyEvil are generally respectful and are all in all more honorable than most]] - though Risho ultimately proves himself willing to drop honor like a rock if it means achieving his goals.

Bakken pleads for mercy claiming that his ribs are broken and that he can't remember about the beating he gave to Kurama minutes earlier, in which he then tries to smash Yusuke's head with some debris. Yusuke never lowered his guard based on how inauthentic his pleas were and decided to "[[PayEvilUntoEvil help remind]]" Bakken what he did to Kurama.
* VillainousValor: After being critically injured, rather than use what little energy he had left to heal himself and save his own life Gama is willing to bleed to death to weaken Kurama, assured that his death will mean the eventual defeat of his enemy. It doesn't, of course, but you have to respect his dedication.

* BladeBelowTheShoulder: Makintaro's only shown ability was being able to turn his hands into blades.

* DefiantToTheEnd: Akarenjya; even after the all but he and Aorenjya had been killed and they were heavily injured by Team Toguro, Akarenjya refused to give up nor beg for his life as Aorenjya did.

Even better, he has a special kind of alcohol that... well... induces vomiting. Once he's emptied his stomach, he gets drunk even faster, which summons more of his demonic energy for him to use. Yu Kaito is a human who develops superhuman powers as a result of the demon plane hole opened by Sensui. He is a student at Meioh Private Academy where he constantly attempts to outdo Kurama for top grades. He is a master of the written word, having written several books and enjoys word puzzles.

His ability is "Taboo" which allows him to create word games that those within his territory must adhere to or their soul will be extracted from their body. While testing the limits of his power, Kaito breaks his Taboo and has his own soul sucked from his body, prompting Kido and Yanagisawa to consult Genkai to help him and explain their new powers.

In the manga, his last appearance shows him spending his day off mostly playing video games and writing.

* BadassPacifist: ''Literally''. His power completely bans violence of any kind, and the only way to beat him is to outsmart him in word games. Considering just how freaking intelligent the guy is, ''good luck.''

* VillainousValor: After being critically injured, rather than use what little energy he had left to heal himself and save his own life Gama is willing to bleed to death to weaken Kurama, assured that his death will mean the eventual defeat of his enemy. * HelloNurse: About every man's reaction to first seeing her. Even better she first steps out in a nurse uniform.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Or in her case Hoist by her own cords, but narrowly averted. While she was able to able to restrain Hiei and Genkai behind her barrier, it also had an unbeknownst healing effect which Hiei benefitted from. Had [[MoralityPet Yukina]] not shown up at the right time, Ruka's life would have ended almost immediately after.

Even better, he has a special kind of alcohol that... well... induces vomiting. Once he's emptied his stomach, he gets drunk even faster, which summons more of his demonic energy for him to use. Yu Kaito is a human who develops superhuman powers as a result of the demon plane hole opened by Sensui. He is a student at Meioh Private Academy where he constantly attempts to outdo Kurama for top grades. He is a master of the written word, having written several books and enjoys word puzzles.

His ability is "Taboo" which allows him to create word games that those within his territory must adhere to or their soul will be extracted from their body. While testing the limits of his power, Kaito breaks his Taboo and has his own soul sucked from his body, prompting Kido and Yanagisawa to consult Genkai to help him and explain their new powers.

In the manga, his last appearance shows him spending his day off mostly playing video games and writing.

* BadassPacifist: ''Literally''. His power completely bans violence of any kind, and the only way to beat him is to outsmart him in word games. Considering just how freaking intelligent the guy is, ''good luck.''
* BadassBookworm: While he's not exactly a fighter, he can keep his wits when 'fighting' others and is very, ''very'' booksmart.
* EvilGloating: Constantly gloats throughout his battle of wits, mockingly challenging Kurama to use words that they're about to lose access to, showing off his wide vocabulary and in general lording over the fact that he can speak normally with no effort despite losing more and more of the alphabet. However, this isn't a sign of foolishness as it usually would be - though Kurama half-heartedly suggests that he could get too excited showing off and make a mistake, they both know that Kaito is far too intelligent to actually mess up. Instead, the gloating itself shows of that he is far too skilled to defeat by his own rules, requiring drastic action.

Asato Kido is a human who develops superhuman powers as a result of the demon plane hole opened by Sensui. His ability, "Shadow", allows him to step on someone's shadow and incapacitate them. Along with Yu Kaito and Yanagisawa he seeks the aid of Genkai when his powers appear. It is shown that he also has limited control over his own shadow, using it to spell out his attackers name after he is paralyzed by Doctor. In his final manga appearance, Kido is shown to have been stood up by his date in a cinema while the narration says he is far too forgiving.

Murota is a human who develops physic powers as a result of the demon plane hole opened by Sensui. He is recruited by Yusuke, Genkai, Kido and Yana when they arrive in Mushiyori City, using his abilities for Team Urameshi to gather information on the Sensui Seven. His power is Tapping, which allows him to read the minds of anyone in a 30 mile radius. [[spoiler: He's eaten by Gourmet after Kuwabara was captured]]
