- The Nicknamer: Often nicknames people after cartoon characters from children’s films in a mocking manner; like Monsters, Inc. for Andy, Donkey and Shrek for Bruce and Tiffany; and Ratatouille for Errol. He is also nicknamed as Buzz (Lightyear) by his friends. Andy retaliates this by calling his son Alfie “the fat kid from Up” when he bullies Errol. In his last appearance, he calls Andy and Errol “Baloo and Mowgli”.
- The Precious, Precious Car: In part of owning a luxury car dealership, he owns a Bentley, which he values very preciously and boasts about it in front of Andy and his friends. Later, when Andy, Bruce, Errol and Tiffany run out of the party, Tom is enraged after he finds that Andy has scratched a massive dick onto his Bentley.
- Screw the Rules, I Have Connections!: In "7 Minutes In Heaven" it is revealed that according to Melodie, Alfie and Errol's teacher, his son is virtually "untouchable" because Tom is on the board of governors; thus vetoing Andy's hope that Alfie would get expelled for locking him and Melodie in the storeroom during the school's Halloween party.
