The Sparkles

Rahs Sparkle

The eponymous puppy (actually a Moon Dog) and Twilight's adopted brother. Now a god, with major portfolios being Moon Dogs and Theater, and minor ones being Dreams and Fridays. Dating several females, has no idea how that happened.

Celestia's former student. Now a goddess, with major portfolios being Friendship and Magic, and minor ones being Books and Tuesdays. Dating (and very possessive of) Big Mac Apple.

Twilight's elder brother. Emperor and co-ruler (with his wife Cadence) of the Crystal Empire. Has a relationship with Chrysalis.

• Butt-Monkey: Whatever spells or magics befall Rahs, be it Gender Bender, Super-Strength, or Mind Control, it will happen to Shining without warning.

Spike

Twilight's younger brother. A dragon, and son of Bleu, goddess of Dragons, and half-brother of Torch and Char. Dateing Applebloom. A very big gameing nerd and DM.

• Genre Savvy: Has used this ability to help defeat Discord and Tirek.

Applejack

Orange earth pony with a yellow mane and tail. Gained an alternate form in season 3 in the form of a Witch Wolf. Dating Rahs Sparkle because this change has made him far more attractive to her.

Butter yellow pegasus with a long pink mane and tail. In a relationship with Pinkie Pie. Currently a proto bat pony thanks to Sunset.

Cyan pegasus with a rainbow mane and tail. Found out to be the mare that Prince Blueblood has been searching for and is currently in a relationship with him.

White unicorn with a purple mane and tail. Has been possesed by a nightmare and has learned to use it rather well to worrying effect. Is also in a relationship with Prince Sombra, though the pair are currently in a 'who wears the pants' sort of conflict.

  • In Season 3 episode "Too Many Moon Pies", he tried to make it into a Roman à Clef:
    "The story you have read is true, expect for the parts owned by Hasbro and what was made up for laughs. The names and faces were changed to protect the innocent, but everyone got upset and made me put them back."
  • In the Season 4 epilogue, he keeps an i on his daughters by detaching the i in his name and attaching it to their names.
    “Do be careful. There are some rather questionable individuals running around that it would be best if you did not get involved with.” Discord growled. “It won't end well for any one.”
    “Isn't that stock parental speech number six?” Sonata asked.

Goddess with major portfolios being Changelings and Change, and minor portfolios being Secrets, Bees and Honey. Has a relationship with Cadence and Shining Armor, and a daughter, Saturnia, by the former.

  Tirek: All I did was drain their magic, that they died from that is hardly my fault. After all they fulfilled their true purpose, which was empowering me after all. Just as everything with magic will this time as well.

• Decomposite Character: While he does have many traits of canon Sombra, such as his crystal powers, many other traits, such as being the villain of the Crystal Empire conflict, are held by his father.
• The Power of Glass: Like in canon, he has the ability to grow and manipulate a substance referred to as "black crystal".

Daughter of Celestia (father) and Granny Smith's mother. Dating Rahs Sparkle.

Diamond Dog Alpha who has developed a strong interest in taking Rahs Sparkle for a mate due to his strength, which Diamond Dogs have been conditioned to respect and be drawn to by their god. Her interest has evolved from just wanting puppies to wanting him period. Is currently the God of Diamond Dogs.

Nox Cal Thestril[bat/dragon/pegasus pony hybrid made by Luna] assigned to Ponyville from Luna's Night Guard. Trained Rahs as best he could before bringing Jynx in to help with the moon dog's training. Was convinced to do so by Cadence informing him that Ponyville had more mares than stallions. Was made Guard Captain of the Ponyville Regiment of Guards and is unofficially the head of Twilight's Guard which she is not happy to even think she has. Dating Ditsy Doo.

A massive Nox-Cal Nocturne[ Bat/Dragon/Earth Pony hybrid made by Luna]who transfered to Ponyville from the Luna Guard. Has been made Comet Trail's second in command. Allowed Rarity to win a rather large bet on what would keep the Flower Trio from hiding in their bunker on a specific day. Is currently dating all three of the mares.

Prince Blueblood:

A noble of a line long descended from Princess Luna.His name is actually Prince, not his title. During one of his birthdays he encountered a mare that he became infatuated with, though without knowing who she was he spent the next several years hunting for her, building his 'arrogant prick' persona to mares to keep them away while he looked in secret not wanting to start a Cindarella rush. An ambassador by trade for Canterlot, he is also an adrenaline junky and thrill seeker, well known for jumping out of perfectly good airships. In season 2 he found the mare he was looking for who turned out to be Rainbow Dash who was pranking his birthday party with Gilda as they thought it was just a hoity toity Nightmare Night party. Though to be fair, that was exactly what his parents turned it into. Did date Twilight Sparkle early in the series, but they quickly realized they were not compatible, though they remained friends.

Starswirl the Bearded

A pony from three millennia ago whom Twilight respects as a wizard and most of the other gods disdain as a madpony or simply an asshole.

Tropes:

• Posthumous Character: He died more or less 3000 years before the end of Season 3.
• Screw the Rules, I'm Famous!: At one point posthumously with a magical artefact he made.
  Most of the artifacts in there were dormant, subdued by the materials that constructed the room.
  The tall horseshoe shaped mirror on the other hoof, glowed in defiance of this place. After all, magic nullification was something that happened to other ponies creations, not things made by the Great Starswirl the Bearded.
• Tinfoil Hat: Luna accuses him of wearing tinfoil lining on the inside of his hat to stop pegasi from reading his mind through their chemtrails.
