Badass Mustache and Badass Beard were merged into Manly Facial Hair. Examples that don't fit or are zero-context are removed. Having facial hair is not enough to qualify. To qualify for Manly Facial Hair, the facial hair must be associated with manliness in some way. Please read the trope description before re-adding to make sure the example qualifies.

!!Lakshmibai / Rani of Jhansi

A deposed Queen turned rebel leader after faking her own death at the end of the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Rebellion_of_1857 Indian Rebellion]]. [[spoiler: After losing her kingdom to the United India Companies machinations and their invading force of vampires & lycans, she took the fight to England instead.]]

->'''Voiced by''' ''Tehmina Sunny''

----

* BilingualBonus: Lakshmi and Devi talk in Hindi between themselves whenever they don't want anyone else to know what they're saying.
* FakingTheDead: She did this to throw the British off her trail. Rightly assuming that their arrogance wouldn't mean they looked too hard.
--> '''Galahad''': Our Generals reported you dead in Gwalior.
--> '''Lakshmi''': I have always benefited from the underestimation of fools.
* FridgeHorror: A slight one of these when she talks about facing Elders in Jhansi. Before this, two full knights have on hell of a fight against just one Elder, ''two full fledged immortal knights that have been fighting for centuries''. Let alone the numbers she implies she faced. What happened in Jhansi must have been terrible...
* HistoricalDomainCharacter: Lakshmibai is one of the key figures of the Indian Rebellion in 1857. Trained as a warrior from childhood, she married the Raj of Jhansi when she was just sixteen. She was so loved by her people, that when the Raj died, her subjects were more than happy to have her as regent and continue to rule over them. The East India Company however objected to this... They thought it was going to be an easy take over, and she would just roll over and accept it. They were wrong.
** When she died, the British let out a collective sigh of relief. She invoked such loyalty, that they weren't sure they could keep the fighting going against her.
* GovernmentInExile: Unclear if she wants her kingdom back though, since the rebels shout ''down with the queen, down with empire'' as a cheer. Seems these days she just wants to save others from what happened to her.
* KingIncognito / RagsToRoyalty : Mostly to the Order Knights, as they have no idea who exactly they're facing and she keeps it that way. Devi calls her by title though, so the Rebels probably know who she is. Galahad is... suitably impressed when he finds out.
--> '''Galahad''': The Rani of Jhansi? The famous warrior queen who took up arms against our forces in India?
--> '''Lakshmi''': I surprise you again, Knight?
* LadyOfWar
* MamaBear: She is shades of this towards Devi. From Devi's grit teeth, she's a little sick of this treatment.
* OlderThanTheyLook: As with everyone that has access to the Blackwater.
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: Both in history, and in the game. Lakshmibai was famous for riding into battle alongside her men, and fell on the fields outside Gwalior doing so. Apparently that habit hasn't changed since she went to London, she's right there in the thick of it with them...
* RebelLeader
* YouRebelScum: On the receiving end of one of these from Galahad after [[spoiler: the airship her rebel forces explode in an attempt to kill Lord Hastings, crash lands into THE Crystal Palace, killing Sir Perceval.]]
* YourTerroristsAreOurFreedomFighters: Comes into discussion more than once. To the Order, what she's doing is complete anarchy, not just destruction to London, but if she accomplishes her goals, it'll send the entire Empire crashing down. To the impoverished of Whitechapel however, who are being preyed upon by monstrous creatures, and the people who are supposed to be defending them are only seeing to the rich, she's giving them hope and protecting them when no one else will.

!!Devi Nayar

First lieutenant to Lakshmi in the rebel forces, as well as bodyguard and [[spoiler: something of a decoy. ]]

->'''Voiced by''' ''Nishi Munshi''

----

*ActionGirl
*BadassNormal: She might not have the blackwater, but she's more than capable of handling her own in a fight.
-->'''Lakshmi''' [''watching Devi walk away'']: You do not want to get on the wrong side of that one.
*BodyguardingABadass: Devi insists its her place to guard Lakshmi, but...
*DecoyLeader: The player and Galahad are lead to believe / assume Devi is the rebel leader for a good while, given she does command and is seen leading much every major fight with the Rebels up until [[spoiler: [[TheManBehindTheMan Lakshmi reveals herself.]] ]]
*TruthInTelevision: Lakshmi actually kept an all female guard around her when she ruled. The British noted them as being highly skilled and fearless in a fight.
*UndyingLoyalty: She has this to Lakshmi.
*FireForgedFriends: Slightly with Galahad, she really ''really'' doesn't like him to start with, since he and the knights are a singular pain in the butt to the rebels. They nearly shoot each other. But once he proves his loyalty, she doesn't mind him so much...
