* ShadowArchetype: She serves as a reflection of Barriss if she was older and far more cynical. Like Barriss, Lyn became disillusioned with the Jedi Order and believed it needed to be replaced by something better. But unlike Barriss, Lyn fully embraces violence and hate taught in the Inquisitorius program, dismissing her hypocritical actions as NecessarilyEvil and spending more time trying to kill the surviving Jedi rather than capture. [[spoiler:Her callous actions causes Barriss to have HeelRealization, as she sees a lot of herself in Lyn.]]

* PaperTiger: She never gets to fight Obi Wan directly, but the rest of her showing does not exactly paint her as very strong. Her schemes end up backfiring on her, Owen and Beru actually manage to stall her effectively (albeit when Reva is injured) and Darth Vader very easily beats her without drawing his own lightsaber. It's to the point that Vader not only lacked the need to draw his own saber, he outright disarmed Reva, split hers, and then gave her back half of it just to give her a slight chance at actually posing a threat.

* PetTheDog: Downplayed; [[spoiler:despite killing everyone else in a shanty town for lying about a Jedi's location, the Fourth Sister spares the child who told Barriss the truth, leaving them traumatized and alone, but alive.]]

Downplayed; [[spoiler:despite killing everyone else in a shanty town for lying about a Jedi's location, the Fourth Sister spares the child who told Barriss the truth, leaving them traumatized and alone, but alive.]]
** Another downplayed instance when [[spoiler:she meets Barriss again years later. Despite Barriss having turned on Lyn and previously shoved her off a tall cliff that could very well have killed her, Lyn initially doesn't seem to want to kill Barriss and simply moves to walk past her. Even after Barriss stands in her way, Lyn attacks briefly, but then stops and orders Barriss to step aside, only resuming her attack when Barriss still refuses to stand down.

* NiceJobFixingItVillain: [[spoiler:The Fourth Sister's callous and hypocritical actions during the hunt for a Jedi fugitive causes Barriss to have a HeelRealization. Barriss subsequently turns on the Fourth Sister to save the fugitive Jedi, abandons the Inquisitorius, and becomes a non-violent Force healer saving Force-sensitive children from the Empire. For bonus irony, for unwittingly saving Barriss from completely falling into the Dark Side, the [[LaserGuidedKarma Fourth Sister is intentionally redeemed by Barriss herself]].]]

* AscendedExtra: After being a FlatCharacter in her debut in ''Obi-Wan Kenobi'', the trailer for ''Tales of the Empire'' shows she will serve a major role as the EvilMentor of Barriss Offee.

* EvilFormerFriend: Lyn and Barriss were acquainted prior to the latter's treason against the Jedi, and once she becomes an Inquisitor, Lyn brings Barriss into the fold as well. * EvilMentor: ''Tales of the Empire'' shows the Grand Inquisitor training Barriss Offee to break the habit of fighting like a Jedi to induct her into the Inquisitorius. He's visibly pleased when she, in a fit of anger, Force-pushes him back hard enough to make him bleed from the mouth.

* YouveGotSpunk: In ''Tales of the Empire'', when Barriss draws his blood in a training session, the Grand Inquisitor is visibly impressed and compliments her.

* BookEnds: The Fourth Sister's arc in ''Tales of the Empire'' begins with her offering Barriss Offee a place in the Inquisitorius, which Barriss accepts. [[spoiler:Her story ends with Barriss offering her the chance to ''leave'' the Inquisitorius, which [[HeelFaceTurn Lyn]] accepts.]]

* DrivenByFear: Although she boasts that fear is her ally, [[spoiler:when her efforts to capture a Force-sensitive child are stymied and Barriss offers her the chance to forsake the Inquisitorius, the Fourth Sister responds by asking if Barriss knows what Vader and the Grand Inquisitor will do to her for failing; Barriss accurately notes that, rather than her ally, fear has become Lyn's ''master''.]]
