Ultimates are handed over to people all over the globe by the IPTC for displaying extreme proficiency in their field of work. However, all of these Ultimates have had theirs taken away, for one reason or another. Applying to the Ultimate Rehabilitation Program, they went into Helios City under the impression they'd only do some spring cleaning. If that's the case, then getting back this title should be a breeze...right?

    Eloise Angelis

Ultimate Priestess

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/untitled186_20230128174554.png
"Nothing matters to me beyond my own parochial goal to live."
Charismatic, understanding, gentle. Common words to describe someone like Eloise. A good leader and approachable to others, it's easy to see how she initially earned her title. She always appears to have the collective's interest at heart, even if it means making difficult decisions. At least, that's how it seems on the surface. While she presents herself as the aforementioned, in reality, Eloise considers herself the bare minimum of a human being. Despite this, she has the tendency to be jealous; be it of their personality, or their physical health.

Her worst nightmares loom over her like a shadow, Eloise only knowing herself in fear. But from what she is aware, she has no identity other than that and the sheer need to survive. With a suspected diagnosis of advanced heart failure, there's a lot Eloise would do to live, although it seems like she's the one who's least likely to.

Tropes:

  • Foil: With Edna. They're sisters who have ended up on strikingly different ends of the religious occupation spectrum. Talk about an awkward family reunion.
  • Secretly Selfish: Although she initially presents herself as caring and selfless, Eloise will always place herself and her survival over anything else.
  • Stepford Smiler: Throughout the killing game, Eloise clings onto the mirage she built for herself like a lifeline. What lies beyond that is unpalatable to most, and (in her mind) would surely prove disadvantageous in her situation.
  • The Unfettered: No matter what, the ends justify the means. Surviving her illness seems like a simple goal, though it's taken great sacrifice to live this long. Namely, her entire sense of identity.
  • Thousand-Yard Stare: Even though Eloise has a tendency to avoid eye contact, when she does look people in the eye, it's almost as if she's looking through them, rather than at them. Can be a little scary.
  • What Is This Feeling?: Eloise is unable to discern which emotions she expresses are a front and which aren't. However, on rare occasions, she has been able to say that she truly enjoyed something.
  • Yellow Eyes of Sneakiness: Combined with her goat-like pupils, Eloise certainly takes a more underhanded approach to achieving her goals.
