* EvilIsNotAToy: Bill created the Phantom Virus and manifested him into the real world in an attempt to sabotage Eric's project and scare him away so he can win the prize he feels entitled to. Eric clearly failed to realize that summoning the virus into the same room he's in with Eric and Professor Kaufman would endanger ''his'' life too, since the virus wasn't programmed to be loyal to him.

Once the Virus is finally taken care of, his creator is unmasked quickly in a PostClimaxConfrontation.

* TooDumbToLive: As if letting his love for baseball seep into the Phantom Virus' programming wasn't idiotic enough, he programs Professor Kaufman's laser to summon the Virus from cyberspace into the real world ''while he's still in the room'', not realising that he's putting himself in serious danger [[LethallyStupid along with Eric and Kaufman]]. In general, he [[GoneHorriblyRight seriously underestimated how dangerous the Virus could potentially be]], in spite of being the creator.
