Lucy Penelope Snow or Lucy Snow, is the main heroine of the manga. She is a nine in a half year old girl, who was meant to go to the school academy Saint Galbat's Academy for young girls, but mistook Hollow Fields for it.

• Action Girl: She has her moments throughout the story where she does something brave.
• Beware the Nice Ones:
  • She calls Miss Weaver a [[Flowery Insults"Nasty Old Ogre"]] after finding out what her true motives were for sending children to the windmill.
  • After Summer hits her with her toy bunny, she mutters to herself about how she would like to push her down a long flight of stairs.
• Badass Adorable: She has a overall adorable look to her because of her being nine in a half years old, but she is shown to be brave when it comes down to it, see saved Claude from Summer's death trap machine. In the final chapter she confronted Miss Weaver, destroying the key to hollow fields by smashing it inside a clock.
• Butt-Monkey: She gets all wet and muddy from being out in the rain for too long while looking for the academy she is supposed to go to, she goes to the wrong school by accident. Summer punches her in the face with her rabbit doll, most of the other students don't like her making her feel like a outcast. And Summer ruins her project she was working on for a class malfunctioning the robot.
• Cool Toy: In the form of Dino, which she later upgrades into a grappling hook Which comes in handy later.
• Determinator: She never gave upon finding away out of Hollow Fields to escape detention.
• Fan of the Underdog: She is the first ever person to sit with Simon at lunch, he is basically a outcast like Lucy which is why they get along so well. Simon later saves Lucy to return the favor of her sitting with him.
• Girls Loved Stuffed Animals: She loves Dino a toy of a dinosaur who she carries around in her backpack, She also really liked Summer's bunny plushie.
• Good Is Not Soft: She may always act nice to other people but when she feels like she is being mistreated she shares her own fair of nasty insults against people, most of the time they almost always deserve it. In one chapter after she failed her exam due to a malfunction, the teacher tells her she is a "Failure" She ask her what she is, good thing she has a [[Grew a Spine spine]] and said she wasn't a loser and yelled at her.
• Hero Protagonist: She is truly a good person see acts friendly to anybody she meets, cares deeply about her friends like Claude and Dr. Bleak. And she saves the latter's life from a trap that he would have died from, and stopping Miss Weaver and ruinning her evil power.
• Hope Bringer: She deep down believes that science can be used to help people deciding to follow in Dr. Bleak's footsteps by coming back to Hollow Fields to bring hope to the future.
• Red is Heroic: She wears a red ribbon on top of her head along with pants that have black and red stripes covering them, and she is pretty nice to anybody.
• Took a Level in Badass: She may be just a young kid but she has moments where she did some amazing feats.

• Big Bad: She is the main antagonist of the manga, she is the owner of Hollow Fields. Who thinks of a plan to send children to detention all to keep Hollow Fields intact, Even if it is by unlawful ways. Such as putting there souls in a [[I Must Scream]] clockwork device.
• Bad Boss: She doesn't really care about any of the other engineers, only caring about the reputation that Hollow Fields will have. She is also the most depraved out of any of the other engineers abusing her power in any way she can.
• Berserk Button: Don't call her a nasty old ogre
• Good Smoking, Evil Smoking: It has been shown that she smokes cigarettes.
• Hoist by His Own Petard: More like host by her own petard, when Lucy destroys the key of Hollow Fields by smashing it inside a clock. Miss Weaver is left in her tower with the whole school getting destroyed, the windmill children decide to get there revenge on her by transferring her soul into a device to get they bodies back. The same way she did to the kids who were in the windmill after being sent to detention
• Irony: Shown in the flashbacks she insisted on transferring her body inside a clockwork body instead of a steam-powered body, Which proves to be a huge major weakness.
• I Was Quite a Looker: During the flashbacks Miss Weaver she had blonde hair and looked attractive, in modern times she is a elderly women who looks like a zombie.
• Sadist Teacher: Giving how she is the principal she is pretty awful and shows no remorse over turning kids into zombies
• Would Hurt a Child: Is perfectly fine with transferring kids souls into devices just to increase her lifespan and hope her school has a future for as long as she can manage.
• Wind Up Key: She needs one in order to move and if it's destroyed she is a goner.
