** Lithia's Achlys path causes her to experience her past mistake again, and becomes TheAtoner realzing she was consumed by her own hubris.

** Ain's Herrscher path made him taken over by Henir energy, severing his connections with Ishmael and turning him into an agent of Henir after learning life ends in oblivion. His Opferung path has him corrupted by Dark El, magnifying his negative emotions and making him fanatically faithful to Ishmael's mission despite losing contact with her.

** Eve's Code: Ultimate and Code: Sariel paths depicts her as an epitome of destruction. Code: Ultimate believes the only path of the Nasod race is through power where the weak should be scrapped, while Code: Sariel forgoes ruling and resolves to complete eradication of what she deems unworthy to exist, going so far as to shut off her emotions to allow herself to evolve. Code: Antithese, meanwhile, dabbles into forbidden, buggy coding that slowly overwrites her original programming, turning her into a mad queen that lives to destroy all that she deems incorrect, including Remy, one of her Nasod drones.
** Chung's Fatal Phantom path has him resolved to being a cold-hearted killer contrasting the KnightInShiningArmor mindset he used to have. He developed the Silver Shooter as a backup arm to his cannon, but he found eliminating his targets before the fight begins more favorable than being a frontline guardian.

** Lu/Ciel's Diangelion path has Lu transformed into a twisted dark lord who along with the demonized Ciel, will drag everything to her own hell, and revels in destruction. The Demersio path has a more tragic twist, with Lu forming another contract to save Ciel, but at the cost of her emotions. Ciel, feeling responsible for making Lu take that sacrifice, turns himself into a demon to protect her out of guilt.
** Rose's Black Massacre path has her getting influenced by Dark El which awakens her bloodlust.

The Revenant path abandons atonement in favor of revenge, destroying his Nasod arm with Alterasia, mutating it into the parasitic Valasia Arm and turning into knight of death.
** Eve's Code: Ultimate and Code: Sariel paths depicts her as an epitome of destruction. Code: Ultimate believed the only path of the Nasod race is through power where the weak should be scrapped while Code: Sariel forgoes ruling and resolves to complete eradication of what she deems unworthy to exist. Code: Antithese, however, dabbles into forbidden, discarded coding that slowly overwrites her original programming, turning her into a mad queen that lives to destroy all that she believes is incorrect.

** Add's Mad Paradox path has him transform into a LiminalBeing after his despair into repeated time-travelling attempts.
** Lu/Ciel's Diangelion path has Lu transformed into a twisted dark lord who along with the demonized Ciel, will drag everything to her own hell. The Demersio path twists Ciel's loyalty through guilt, feeling responsible for Lu's fading emotions and developing demonic powers from the Ego.

** Subverted in Laby's Nisha Labyrinth path. While Nisha corrupts Laby, took over her body, and sealing Laby's soul in the mirror, Nisha only does so to protect Laby and keep her safe and Laby herself is fine with it.

** Starting from Ara's introduction - being the first girl who smashes by default - this trope is averted.
*** This also applies to Add - being the first guy who shoots by default.

** Aisha, Eve, and Luciel have specialized party buffs available for them. Elemental Master and Code Nemesis can delve in this further, with their passives allowing their buffs to be more efficient.
** Perhaps the best support character in the game goes to Ain, specifically as Erbluhen Emotion; his ''Rein'' version of Blatt Blume is the best healing spell in the game and his Vertrauen Melodie buffs the party's magic attack and damage reduction.

* TokenMiniMoe: Aisha is often portrayed this way. Played straight with Lu, and also Eve to some extent, though she's not a straight example (she's not the smallest of the girls). Chung is a male example, although this portrayal died out in his second jobs.
