* ForWantOfANail: When Radiguet initially betrays her, she makes short work of him but chooses not to kill him, instead prefering to make an example of him by [[spoiler:depowering him, erasing his memories and turning him into a human]]. This comes back to bite her in the ass when Radiguet recovers himself and tells the Jetmen to [[AttackItsWeakPoint attack her weak spot]], which results in her downfall and later her death.

* TokenGoodTeammate: J1. While at first he was just as arrogant and rude to the main team as the rest of his squad but after they rescued them from their first disastrous mech battle he began treating them with far more respect, while the other Neo-Jetman kept acting like jerks. He is also clearly not on board with how his superior treats Odagiri or that he lies about the possibility of the team regaining their lost powers.

* AttackItsWeakPoint: [[spoiler:Prior to his final battle with the Jetman team's HumongousMecha, he gets a weak spot on his back, from the sword stab Maria/Rie gave him in her last act, which is amplified to a massive wound when he transforms into his Raguem form. Gai succeeds in killing him by stabbing his back with the Birdonic Saber]].

* CaptainErsatz: Due to their bird motifs, the group itsef is the Super Sentai version of ''Anime/ScienceNinjaTeamGatchaman''.

* BodyHorror: As Raguem, his head located on his stomach with his face transitioning from its usual vistage to Radigan's.

** To Vulgyre, each being a FinalBoss who manipulated heroes and villains alike to suit his goals and fights the former in an EldritchAbomination form with the villians' base intergrated in it. But Vulgyre is a LivingShip that intentionally evolved into his Super Galactic Beast form, while Radiget's Raguem form was an unexpected side-effect of asborbing Veronica's energies and converted the Vylock into armor.

* OneWingedAngel: He has a more powerful, yet uglier form named Radigan that he transforms into when he gets really pissed. [[spoiler: He also gains a giant form later called Raguem and fuses with the Vyram base, the Vylock, in the finale.]]

* VillainousCrush: On [[spoiler: Rie, hence turning her into Maria]], and a truly sick one at that, as his actions are less about having any feelings for her ([[ItsAllAboutMe he only cares about himself]]) as much as desiring to possess and control her, even if it means reducing her to a mindless slave.

* HumanAliens: He stands out among the four Vyram elite by looking like a human, while Radiguet has blue skin and thus clearly alien, Grey is a robot alien and Maria [[spoiler:is actually fully human]]. His visor is not part of his head (he takes it out prior to growing up into Tranza). Although he does display special powers of his own, he lacks OneWingedAngel forms like Radiguet or Juuza. [[spoiler: When he as Tranza winds up as a drooling and screaming vegetable following his brutal defeat by the Jetmen, and subsequent phsyical and mental torture by Radiguet, the doctors observing him don't mention anything weird about his physiology, other than his physical and mental damage]].

* PlotRelevantAgeUp: [[spoiler:The taunts of the other Vyram eventually triggers his rapid maturity into Tranza.]]

* SoleSurvivor: [[spoiler:Radiguet spares his life out of sadism in letting him live as a normal powerless and vegetative human, in turn he does not get killed and is thus the only member of the Vyram high command to survive.]]

* BettyAndVeronica: The Veronica to Ryū's Betty for Kaori's Archie. [[spoiler:He loses.]]

* HiddenDepths: The Vyram's scheme of the week in Episode 11 reveals a hidden part of each team members' personality, in Raita's case, [[CasanovaWannabe he begins to act almost exactly like Gai.]]
