- Despite having spent the night holding off a horde of disasters thanks to newly reborn Emmet's terrible luck, Mordecai and Caradon still manage to hold off the King's army for a few minutes. Caradon, in fact, has spent an entire day at this nonsense, having already dealt with Missus Fluffbear's terrible luck. Mordecai therefore lasts a few hours longer in the woods against a squad of his former students and finally discovers the unlock for the Ranger class.
- Threadbare, a mute idiot for most of the book, has leveled up enough by the end that he can spend five years working his way free from imprisonment via a sword through the gut.
