Awesome / The Guns of Navarone

• If the extended sequence of explosions ending with the gigantic guns toppling into the sea isn't awesome I don't know what is!
• Taking out the German Patrol boat!
• Miller laying out all the clues he's put together to figure out who the traitor is. The action-packed war movie suddenly takes a break for an extended classical film noir summation, but David Niven makes every bit of it just as riveting.
  • Followed by Mallory giving him a "The Reason You Suck" Speech for his constantly looking down his nose at the rest of them for the moral compromises necessary to destroy the guns, while still not having any answers for what else they could have done.
  "You've got me in a mind to use this thing, and by god, if you don't think of something I'll use it on you!"
• One for the bad guys, when Lieutenant Muesel refuses to help Mallory and then calls his bluff when Mallory puts a gun in his face. Mallory himself looks impressed.
