• For weeks, the Legion have been trashed and attacked by a pack of creatures sent by a mysterious "master." This being uses his power to take control of the entire population of Daxaam and then switch their world to under a yellow sun, giving three billion beings the power of Superman. He then has them use their powers to destroy their own world and carve it into the image of their Master. As they fly out to rampage the galaxy, their master stands atop this new world and at long last, the reader sees who it is: DARKSEID.
• Both Superboy and Supergirl take on Darkseid during the final battle.
