• Cala casting a death-spell, revethmaz, against Dach'somer Tethimar for his assassination attempt against Maia.
  • Beshelar taking Dach'somer Tethimar's stab meant for Maia in the arm to protect him.
• Idra telling off his mother for her attempted coup against Maia, picking apart her arguments about why the latter is unfit to be emperor in the process.
  • Maia has his own awesome moment directly proceeding this. He demands to his kidnappers that Idra is brought in so that he could speak to him. He even gives them an ultimatum: "If you wish to maintain this charade of abdication, we will speak to our successor. Otherwise, kill us and have done with it." A strong show of bravery from a character who called himself a coward, not even a full half-hour ago.
