Awesome moments in The Fly (1986).
- Stathis, missing a foot and a hand, crawls over to his shotgun, retrieves it, and disables the teleporter before Ronnie is fused with Brundlefly. Definitely made up for being a Jerkass earlier.
- Though it's a sign of things to come, Seth's gymnastic feats are pretty impressive.
- As disturbing as it is, Seth's famous line is one of the greatest in any horror movie:"I'm an insect who dreamt he was a man and loved it. But now the dream is over... and the insect is awake."
- Brundlefly at the very end. Throughout the film, Seth has been painfully aware of his physical and mental transformation, with his thoughts turning far more aggressive, instinctual, and desperate to do anything to survive. His attempted Romantic Fusion with Veronica and their unborn child was his final attempt at possibly returning to normal, only for it to be cut down. But even after his final metamorphosis into a humanoid insect, even after being horrifically fused with the teleport pod and enduring unimaginable pain, there's some part of Seth that manages to beat back his instincts and reach out, asking Ronnie to Mercy Kill him and ensure he doesn't harm her again. In the end, Seth Brundle won.
- At the very end of the DVD Commentary, David Cronenberg points out that as sad as Seth's fate is, he underwent an experience no other human ever had or will by becoming the Brundlefly, and truly, fully lived in the brief time he had on Earth, which is a tragic kind of awesome.
