  • Natasha's conversation with Clint at the beginning of #5, especially when Clint has complained several times about being on The Team, and he says that he will quit this time. Particularly great because once she gets to telling him to accept it, he's looking away as if he's suddenly remembered that Natasha's experiences in her life have usually been more dangerous and psychologically damaging than this—and she didn't get to forget them, and she didn't get to walk away because she never had a choice in the first place.
Natasha: But you do get out of this. Every time you go in. You understand? Tomorrow, you will forget this ever happened. Consider it a gift. This isn't the Red Room. We're not victims of anything here. We chose to do this. They came to us, and they asked us. We could've said no, and we didn't. Once you accept that, you'll realise, whether you like it or not—no one here is lying to you—You're only lying to yourself.
    • The speech also counts as a Tear Jerker when you realise that Natasha has never been given this choice before, and most of the time she's done this sort of work, she had no option to walk away and was essentially trapped. At this point she's talking to the person who was a catalyst in her eventually getting away from that part of her life, and she was almost killed for it then. SHIELD, despite their morally gray practices, are probably the best employers Natasha has had as a spy.
  • Secret Avengers #6, Mockingbird ends up fighting Taskmaster. Now Tasky's thing is that he can copy anyone's moves and figure out how they fight. So, a melee-specialist like Bobbi should be easy for him to take. Instead, she holds her own until his memory can be jump-started to remind him he's a double agent. Considering only a few people can take this guy in a fight (Deadpool and Finese being the only individuals shown able to hold their own in a fair fight against him, and in his first appearance he took down both Cap and Iron Man), that's pretty badass.
    • Mockingbird and Taskmaster end up getting right to the heart of AIM headquarters, taking out anyone they encounter along the way.
      • Meanwhile, Rhodes is asked to help with the Iron Patriot problem, and does it in spectacular fashion.
  • In Secret Avengers #16 there is one thing that the personalities of Bobbi and Barbara both agree on; Forson has to go. She then proceeds to drop the gun and beat Forson bloody, while asking him how he thought that he could try and kill her, and live. Forson manages to get the upper hand long enough to stab her, but she responds by cutting his throat and throwing him off her. She lies there for a moment and then, bleeding from a stab wound to the stomach, gets up and manages to get away from AIM Island and heal before she meets with Daisy and Bucky.
Mockingbird: You think you can kill me? You think you can try that and live?
    • Even before that, Mentallo reveals another one when he suspects that whoever shot Taskmaster meant for him to survive.
