Awesome / God Eater 3

  • Lulu's introduction. For the first time in the series, we finally get to see what happens when a God Eater goes up against another God Eater as Lulu takes on the Protagonist, Hugo, and Zeke at the same time. Through a mix of her natural agility and skill, she holds them off long enough to activate her Acceleration Trigger, giving Lulu the edge that allows her to dominate the fight and take Zeke hostage. Demanding that the other two surrender to which they comply.
    • Later on during the story we get another dose of this when Lulu ends up facing her mentor Goh in combat. This time though she loses, but she impressed Goh so much that he wanted to continue fighting some more instead of finishing her off like his boss wanted.
  • The first real fight with the Ash Aragami, Ra. Despite everyone being given Corrosion by mere contact with the foe causing them each to get Devoured, Phym pulls off a Big Damn Heroes by healing everyone of their wounds and joining the fight herself while Nemesis plays in the background. The Hounds and Chrysanthemum promptly become the first known AGEs ever to kill an Ash Aragami and tell the tale, essentially Defeating the Undefeatable.
  • Hugo's plan to rescue Phym. Why is this awesome? Cause it involves him driving a truck and luring an Ash Aragami straight to the Caravan Crawler carrying her. The Grin of Audacity that he has on at the beginning says it all. Even Zeke can't help note the insanity of the plan.
Zeke: There's reckless, and then there's Hugo...
    • Retroactively becomes more awesome during Hugo's 'Traversing the Past' missions. We get a glimpse of his thoughts during the plan, and discover that he suffers from motion sickness. That's right: he was sick to his stomach the whole time, despite how confidently he pulled off his plan.
  • The Protagonist in general is considered an ace among aces. Throughout the game their reputation begins to rise as they complete mission after mission taking down Ash Aragami along the way. They're eventually christened with the title Devil of the Chrysanthemum for their combat prowess and later on rewarded a medal for their feats after reclaiming Fenrir HQ for humanity.
  • The Dromi's first appearance and Zeke's charge towards it. When his brother Neal tries telling him off for saving the jerk of a God Eater that tried to leave them behind, Zeke tells him to shut it and says that it doesn't matter who the person, he's simply doing what he thinks is right. He then proceeds to take on the Dromi by himself and uses the Boost Hammer to get a clean hit in. Unfortunately this isn't enough as it strikes back and Zeke is cornered...
    • ...Fortunately for Zeke, the Protagonist comes in to save his life. Afterwards they then charge in themselves and leap right above the Dromi's mouth and fires a shot from there.
  • The post-game content, especially the Character Episodes. Each one helps highlights just how far the characters have come since you first meet them while delving into their backstories. Even better, as all of this is happening, they also delve into Soma's story as Ein. At the end of Lulu and Ricardo's Character Episodes, the Baran Owner attempts to blackmail him into giving him information about the Adaptative Armor. If Ein doesn't comply, he'll leak a photo of Soma Shicksel to the public. Ein's response is to tell him to do whatever he wants with it. Even though he's become a criminal in the eyes of the world for his role in creating the Ashlands, he really just couldn't give two shits about somebody trying to blackmail him.
  • In Phym's episode it is said that, because she is a Humanoid Aragami, she is unable to perform Core Engage. This still doesn't stop her and the protagonist, who manage to do it against an Ash Aragami in a life-or-death scenario.
