  • Future Gohan gets a few of these during the OVA:
    • At some point before the start of the film, Gohan finally decided to challenge the Androids. Everyone who knows him is obviously afraid for him but also has faith in his abilities to hope he'll eventually win.
    • His being able to fight on par with Android 17, he beats 17 so bad that his sister has to get involved and hit him with a cheap shot.
    • One that's often overlooked during Gohan's final battle with the Androids happens right when they decide to fight together. Gohan had just humiliated 17 with a sneak attack, slammed them both through buildings and, most impressive of all, managed to overpower them both in a beam struggle. At this point 17 and 18 are no longer playing a game with their favorite punching bag. Gohan has officially become a threat and they decide to treat him like one by going all out and killing him then and there.
    • In the final battle, Gohan unknowingly references Goku's speech against Frieza in the original Funimation dub.
Goku (when fighting Frieza as a Super Saiyan): "You can destroy planets but you can never destroy what I am, friend."
Gohan (when facing against the Androids): "You can't destroy what I really am!"
