While the original Devilman focuses more on the bloodbath and tragedy, it doesn't mean there aren't any awe-striking scenes in this adaptation.

Anime

Episode 1 - I Need You

  • From the very first episode, there's Akira's transformation into a Devilman. It's bloody, violent, and horrifying; but it's also without a doubt a spectacle to watch, especially with "D.V.M.N." playing in the background.

Episode 3 - Believe Me

  • Akira sucking up Ghelmer from Miki's body via mouth to mouth. Ghelmer calls him a fool and thinks that this just means Akira's giving him the means to control his body. Then Akira heats up his own body temperature until Ghelmer vaporizes himself out and reforms in a much weaker state, which leaves Akira to rip him in half and laugh in a shower of Ghelmer's blood.

Episode 4 - Come, Akira

  • Kukun’s love confession rap to Miko. This has since become one of the series’ signature scenes.

Episode 5 - Beautiful Sirene

  • A villainous example at the end of Akira's fight with Sirene. As Sirene is slowly dying from her wounds, Kaim offers his body to fuse with her. He knows full well that he will die in the process, but puts his desire to let his beloved Sirene feel victorious above that fact anyway. To that end, he blows his own head off with his electricity. Sirene fuses with him, becoming a centaur-like being who then electrocutes and skewers Devilman into unconsciousness. She quickly dies before she could finish him off, but Akira admits that she won before losing consciousness.
    • Up until now, demons were shown to be nothing but cruel, sadistic monsters. The above entry and the fact that Sirene says this before charging with Kaim's body shows that not only did she truly care for him, but would carry out his last wish in respect. All while "Judgement" was playing.
Sirene: Hear me, moon! Bear witness as Sirene's vengeance and Kaim's life end Devilman!
      Akira: Shit!

Episode 7 - Weak Humans, Wise Demons

  • A group of demons take over a navy vessel housing tactical nuclear weapons and launches a missile. Suddenly, a sphere of light over 10000km wide in diameter obliterates the missile and the demons who launched it off the face of the earth. Not only that, any humans within its vicinity turn into salt. That last part isn't so awesome. But it does let anyone familiar with that occurrence to figure out that it's who caused that. The demons watching it over the TV certainly know, and are freaking the hell out because of it. The true main antagonist of the franchise has made his awesome, yet horrifying presence known.
    • Not just those demons, but especially Ryo, (makes sense, he turns out to be Satan later) who screams his head off like a mad man and curls up on the floor in fear. After watching him turning the world upside down with his demon broadcast, his mockery of humanity for their paranoia and overall callousness throughout the show, this is very satisfying to see.

Episode 10 - Crybaby

  • From a villainous standpoint, Ryo/Satan using his power to cause the Earth to become disrupted on a planetary level, from creating flurries of large tornadoes to making volcanoes violently erupt. It's even likely that this still isn't him at his strongest.
  • The Devilmen and humanity's Last Stand against Satan's army in the finale is full of awesome moments. But the awesomeness reaches its climax in the fight between Akira and Satan.
    • Even if it turns out to be pointless in the end, the fight shows how determined Akira and the devilman army are respectively. Even with his limbs being blown off, Akira still fights. The other Devilmen sacrifice themselves to fuse with Akira to keep him in the fight.
    • After Akira briefly loses his arms, two Devilmen replace them, giving him the power to punch Satan halfway across the entire planet.
    • Satan's sheer destructive power, which is capable of splitting the moon in half.
    • Despite being outnumbered by the devils, Akira and his Devilmen still succeed in wiping out Satan's demon army. One can only imagine how much better Akira would have fared if he had humanity on his side, and had recruited more Devilmen before Ryo ruined his scheme. Given how powerful Satan is, it still would have been a long shot to actually win, but the fact that they accomplished that much in the state they were in is impressive.
