• The show has been a critical darling amongst wrestling journalists. The first season won the Wrestling Observer's Best Documentary award. The second season had its episodes voted on individually. While the Owen Hart episode won, the vast majority of the rest of the season appeared as runners up. In the 2021 awards, the episode on Brian Pillman won, while next year had the sister series Tales of the Territories's episode on the Kaufman/Lawler feud win. The trend continued on in the 2023 awards, as the episode on Chris Candido and Tammy Sytch won the award.
• Dr. Martha Hart. As heartbreaking and sad as the death of Owen was and remains and as painful and frustrating that justice was never truly gained in his death, the fact that she has been able to carry on his legacy with helping out people in need and raise their children to be successful and well-rounded is a testament to her strength.
