While they spend most of the film captured, the Justice League really do shine when they have their chances.
The initial fight against Luthor. Each member of the team gets a chance to show off their skills.
Aquaman catching the falling kryptonite meteor with hydrokinesis.
Cyborg and Green Lantern taking out Luthor’s defenses and freeing Superman and Krypto.
Wonder Woman catching the duo in her invisible jet.
Flash gathering the fragments of orange kryptonite with superspeed.
Finally, after Luthor gets a single shard of the kryptonite and is shocked to see he doesn’t have powers, Batman appears behind him and says they’re overrated before taking him out with a single punch.
Then there’s the final fight against the giant monster Lulu. While she is ultimately defeated by Krypto, the League, in tandem with the Super Pets, are able to put up a decent fight.
Villainous example: Lulu taking out Superman and the rest of the League.
She managed to take Superman by surprise, stunning him with green kryptonite and using her telekinesis to thrash him around. While he was able to put up a fight, Lulu is ultimately the victor when she manages to puncture his body (non-fatally) with the kryptonite.
She also manages to depower Krypto by hiding a sliver of kryptonite in a piece of cheese - a dog’s only weakness.
Following this, the rest of the League. While they had been warned in advance by Lois Lane and know what to expect, Batman and Wonder Woman are quickly overwhelmed by her minions. After that, the rest of the heroes don’t stand a chance.
The Super-Pets’ rescue of the League from a rocket rigged to explode. PB’s growth and Merton’s speed get Ace and Chip onto the rocket and then Chip and Ace use their respective abilities to cut a hole in the floor beneath the League’s cages in the nick of time.
