About Dressy Sally (Czech: O paradivé Sally) is a 1976 animated short film from Czechoslovakia. It tells the story of a young girl named Sally who, after losing some gloves, goes to a wizard (named Mr. Kadabra in English) to get them back. It received an English dub that was part of Pinwheel.

The short became infamous for being the subject of a Lost Media Wiki search after forum member Commander Santa posted about it but couldn't remember the details of it save the sequence of the wizard emerging from a clock, giving it the unofficial nickname of "Clockman".

The English version was officially uploaded to YouTube in 2018. It can be watched here.

About Dressy Sally contains the following tropes:

  • Catapult Nightmare: After having a dream about Mr. Kadabra remembering their deal about Sally telling her mother about the gloves he replaced, Sally wakes up jolting out of her bed.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: The Sorcerer dresses in black and can often be creepy, but he's actually quite kind and gentle.
  • Honesty Aesop: For not telling her mother that she had one of her gloves replaced by Mr. Kadabra, the wizard makes her do work for him. The stars Sally knits for Mr. Kadabra are said to disappear unless she always tells the truth.
  • Painting the Frost on Windows: As punishment for not telling her mother the truth, Sally is made to knit stars that then go in the sky by Mr. Kadabra, who explains that the stars she knits will be there only if she always tells the truth.
  • Robe and Wizard Hat: Mr. Kadabra wears a black hat and robe.
  • Wizard Beard: The wizard Mr. Kadabra has a long, black beard.
