Ah, film, a global medium. It's certainly provided a number of [[SugarWiki/AndTheFandomRejoiced moments to cheer about]].

[[folder: Film - Animated]]
* Way back in 1982, many fans of ''Literature/TheLastUnicorn'' couldn't believe that any [[WesternAnimation/TheLastUnicorn animated film adaptation]] could possibly capture the magic of the original... until they saw that the original author, Creator/PeterSBeagle, was writing the screenplay.
* Okay, so a [[http://www.hypable.com/2013/07/12/how-to-train-your-dragon-2-trailer-released/ trailer]] for WesternAnimation/HowToTrainYourDragon2 was released several ''months'' early, and [[TookALevelInBadass Hiccup]] is Franchise/{{Batman}} now. Also, the series' events are canon, and dragon flying just got even more awesome than it already was. As Hiccup puts it while gliding over the ocean:
-->'''Hiccup:''' THIS IS AMAAAZIIING!
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9a4PvzlqoQ The first full trailer!]] Specifically, the identity of the mysterious new dragon rider that has been teased for quite some time. [[spoiler: SHE'S HICCUP'S MOTHER! And she's developed her own method of dragon taming that helps her save the dragons around her!]]
* Wait, [[WesternAnimation/TheLegoMovie Lego's making a movie?]] And the plot is...agggh, another ClicheStorm, some stuff about an ordinary guy who saves the world and is the Chosen One, bla bla bla-WAIT, IS THAT '''[[Toys/LEGOAdventurers JOHNNY FREAKIN' THUNDER?]]''' ''OH MY GOD HE'S BACK!'' HE'S BACK! HE'S BACK AFTER ''11 GODDAMN YEARS!'' And '''Creator/MorganFreeman''' as Vitruvius? '''I'VE GOT TO SEE THIS!'''
** Hmmm...OK, Superman, Batman, yeah yeah yeah-WAIT, '''WONDER WOMAN?''' And is that...is that...'''IS THAT [[Creator/LiamNeeson LIAM NEESON?]]''' '''OH MY GOOOOOOOD!'''
** And it's getting A SEQUEL!!!
** Get ready to shit bricks, because IT'S GETTING SPINOFF MOVIES BASED ON NINJAGO AND BATMAN!
** ''WesternAnimation/TheLegoBatmanMovie'' looks pretty funny... Wait... Did they mention that Billy Dee Williams will reprise his role as [[{{Film/Batman}} Harvey Dent]] and FINALLY portray the later as Two-Face?!? This is GREAT!
* [[WesternAnimation/JLAAdventuresTrappedInTime A new Justice League movie]], huh? Well it being announced a week before its release doesn't show good signs for its quality-wait. Creator/LiamOBrien is gonna be Aquaman and Creator/LauraBailey is gonna be Dawnstar? That's cool I gues-Music/GreyDeLisle and Creator/JasonSpisak are gonna be Wonder Woman and the Flash? Huh, that's actually some pretty good cast-WHOA! Creator/DanteBasco [[WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender and Jack DeSena]] will be in this too? Maybe I'll consider peeking at a few cli-'''OH GOODNESS GRACIOUS!! [[Creator/DiedrichBader DIEDRICH BADER]] IS GOING TO REPRISE HIS ROLE AS [[WesternAnimation/BatmanTheBraveAndTheBold BATMAN]]?!?! I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE!!!!'''
** Okay, so the cast is good, but there have been bad movies with great casts befo-wait a minute, Giancarlo Volpe[[note]]The Executive Producer of ''Green Lantern: The Animated Series'' and director of episodes for ''Avatar: The Last Airbender'' and ''Star Wars: The Clone Wars''[[/note]] is directing it? [[{{Squee}} Nevermind. I didn't say anything.]]
* Oh, great! They're making another ''[[WesternAnimation/TheFlintstones Flintstones]]'' movie. All right, who's gonna--Wait. It's going to be ''animated!?'' And it will be produced by Creator/WillFerrell and Adam [=McCay=]!? And written by Chris Henchy!? YABBA-DABBA-DOO!
* So they're making a [[WesternAnimation/TheAdventuresOfTintin Tintin]] movie. OK - wait, Creator/PeterJackson is producing? Creator/StevenSpielberg is directing? And Creator/StevenMoffat is writing the script?
* A third movie about TheSmurfs? Ugh, and I thought the fact that Alvin and the Chipmunks got a trilogy was bad. How are they going to mess it up this ti- Huh? They are rebooting it already? OK, but I don't see how that is going to hel- It will be fully animated? AND they are going to stick more to Peyo's art style? Looks like you have a chance to redeem yourself, Sony!
* ''WesternAnimation/ThePeanutsMovie'':
** Fans originally cringed big time at the announcement of a movie, fearing something akin to what happened to ''The Smurfs'' and ''Alvin and the Chipmunks''. Fans were overwhelmingly happy when the first trailer came out because: A. No live action. B. It doesn't try to awkwardly modernize the series. C. It is an AllCGICartoon done in a non-traditional style that resembles a watercolor traditionally animated cartoon. D. Not only were voice actors recruited who could pull off the original voices as best as possible, but in the case of Snoopy and Woodstock, they used ''restored voice clips of the late Bill Melendez''.
** American fans were ecstatic about the ''rating'' of all things. It has a "G" rating. In recent years "PG" has become the new "G", with films that would have previously been "G" in TheNineties like ''Disney/{{Frozen}}'' getting the rating. "G" has mostly been regulated to preschooler fare instead of being for "General Audiences". With the G-rating fans are wondering if it might come back into popularity.
* [[Creator/TreyParkerAndMattStone Trey Parker]] is voicing the antagonist of ''WesternAnimation/DespicableMe3''?! (In [[WesternAnimation/SouthPark Cartman's]] voice) Ah, sweet, dude!
* So, [[Creator/SonyPicturesAnimation Sony's]] making an animated ''Franchise/SpiderMan'' movie? Okay, sounds cool, I--wait, it's starring '''Miles Morales''' instead of Peter Parker?! Alright!
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Film - Live Action]]
* The Film/{{Transformers}} film series (and the Franchise/{{Transformers}} series in general) has [[AndTheFandomRejoiced/{{Transformers}} its own page]], the SugarWiki/MostTriumphantExample being the announcement that Creator/PeterCullen would be playing Optimus Prime (hence the trope's [[Administrivia/RenamedTropes original name]], Cue Cullen).
** {{Inverted}} when Creator/PeterCullen was told he wouldn't be [[Franchise/WinnieThePooh Eeyore]] anymore. A sad day indeed.
*** Tempered for Franchise/WinnieThePooh and Pixarfans with the casting of [[Creator/PixarRegulars Bud Luckey]].
* Perhaps the original example of this trope is with the first Creator/TimBurton ''Film/{{Batman}}'' film and the decision to cast Creator/MichaelKeaton in the title role. Batman fandom did a collective, "''[[PlayingAgainstType Michael Keaton]]?!?!?''" and complained so loud and so furiously that Warner Brothers decided to take action with some emergency marketing. The centerpiece was a quick teaser that proved so popular that it silenced many fan complaints with the hope that Burton and Keaton were right after all. People were attending theaters just to watch the trailer and walking out when it was over, not even seeing the movie they paid for.
** Probably the ultimate trump card to play when someone complains that "X is going to be Y" and they don't think it'll work out. Just tell them, "Mr. Mom was Batman?" We can argue ad infinitum as to whether Keaton was the "real" Batman or Tim Burton's Batman. The point is, he did something no one expected he could do.
*** And, nobody complained about Creator/JackNicholson as SelfDemonstrating/TheJoker.
*** Even though [[FranchiseOriginalSin in retrospect it was an ominous sign of things to come]], ''Film/BatmanForever'' induced this in many teen and tween movie fans back in 1995. A third ''Batman'' movie? Ah, it'll just be another dark and depressing Creator/TimBurton whine-fest like ''Film/BatmanReturns''...Wait, it's being directed by ''Creator/JoelSchumacher''?! Of ''Film/TheLostBoys'' fame?! And Batman himself will be played by Creator/ValKilmer - Jim Morrison in ''Music/TheDoors''?! And [[Film/AceVentura none]] [[Film/TheMask other]] [[Film/DumbAndDumber than]] ''Creator/JimCarrey'' will also be in it?! This is gonna be AWESOME!!!
*** Speaking of Batman, there's the moment the then upcoming ''Film/BatmanBegins'' was announced, with the famous first teaser poster. The franchise had been in limbo for several years after Batman & Robin, and the thought of a new Batman movie was exciting news to every fan.
** The series essentially started with this. After the Creator/JoelSchumacher films, another Batman film (proper origin story or not) wasn't something anyone was getting terribly excited about. Being directed by Creator/ChristopherNolan and starring Creator/ChristianBale ensured fans had any hope that it would be worth getting excited about.
*** And once the movie comes out, not only it fulfils everyone's expectations, but has a SequelHook involving The Joker!
** Similarly to Creator/MichaelKeaton's PlayingAgainstType, there was an outcry when it was announced that Creator/HeathLedger would be playing the Joker in ''Film/TheDarkKnight''. Then the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jqq4j52Fb4 trailer came out]] and the theater was filled with the sound of [[EvilLaugh maniacal laughter]]...
** Also, the idea of [[WesternAnimation/BatmanGothamKnight a Batman anime]] made some fans unsure until the name Creator/KevinConroy showed up.
** For ''Film/TheDarkKnightRises'', Creator/TomHardy as Bane. Cranked UpToEleven when the first photo [[http://ca.io9.com/5803953/first-photo-of-tom-hardy-as-bane came out]].
** The prologue, which made it clear that Christopher Nolan was writing Bane as a GeniusBruiser, something that the Man Who Broke The Bat has had trouble with for a while now.
** Creator/AnneHathaway as an utterly fantastic Catwoman, in the face of many doubting her ability to pull off the role. And Catwoman's characterization being very close to that in the comics.
** Nolan's not done with the ''Film/{{Inception}}'' cast yet. [[http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Has-Marion-Cotillard-Joined-The-Dark-Knight-Rises-Cast-23142.html There's rumors that]] Creator/MarionCotillard may be joining as well.
** Lots of plot twists and nods to events in the comics (like being based on ''ComicBook/{{Knightfall}}'') in ''Film/TheDarkKnightRises'' which many thought Nolan and crew would never put in the film. For example, Bane's backstory of being born and raised in a prison, and the inclusion of [[spoiler: Talia al Ghul.]]
*** [[spoiler:Bane does indeed break the Bat]].
** As of February 4th, 2011, Creator/JosephGordonLevitt [[http://www.deadline.com/2011/02/joseph-gordon-levitt-in-talks-to-join-the-dark-knight-rises/ is officially in contract negotiations for an unknown role.]]
*** [[spoiler:Robin made it into the movies after all!]]
* There had been doubts in the fandom over ''Film/IndianaJonesAndTheKingdomOfTheCrystalSkull''. Cue the ''awesome'', '''awesome''' [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7Gqi2IeIL0 trailer]].
** Also the announcement of the return of Karen Allen as Marion, reuniting the OTP for anybody.
* The trailer for ''Film/{{Watchmen}}''. The fact that they salvaged a good song from ''Film/BatmanAndRobin'' and made it [[CrowningMusicOfAwesome even more awesome]] really says a lot.
** Creator/JackieEarleHaley as Rorschach, who heard about it thanks to a fan petition to get him the role.
* The casting of Creator/EvannaLynch as Luna Lovegood in ''[[Film/HarryPotter Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix]]''. There was wank over Creator/HelenaBonhamCarter and the script and that kiss... then the fans saw their Luna and promptly shut up.
** In a similar vein, the casting of Imelda Staunton as Dolores Umbridge. Which turned out to be a good omen for her performance in the film.
** Creator/BillNighy as Scrimgeour in the ''[[Film/HarryPotterAndTheDeathlyHallows Deathly Hallows]]'' films. Is it possible to read the books and ''not'' immediately picture Nighy as Scrimgeour?
** One example that almost doesn't count, in a weird way: as soon as the book ''Half-Blood Prince'' came out, a good many fans read the character Horace Slughorn and simply said, "Well, that's Jim Broadbent". Throughout the casting period these same people were just wondering ''when'' they would announce that the role had gone to Jim Broadbent. Then they announced that Slughorn was going to be played by Jim Broadbent. Perfect casting, but nobody was really excited because the casting was so perfect it was ''obvious''.
** Also, ''Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban''. "Meh, they changed the director, Dumbledore's [[Creator/RichardHarris actor]] is dead and... wait... Creator/GaryOldman will be cast as Sirius? And David Thewlis will be Lupin? Count me in, when it'll be released?!" Many fans seem to love Thewlis as Lupin.
** Like the Jim Broadbent example above, casting Creator/AlanRickman as Snape was such a natural choice people took it for granted he'd get the role, since hardly anybody could imagine anyone else playing Snape. There was a somewhat major outcry when it was reported Creator/TimRoth was up for the part as well, because, as one reviewer later put it, Alan Rickman couldn't have been a better pick for Snape if he'd been expressly built for the role. Helps that Rowling had him partly in mind when she first made the character.
** Similarly, Maggie Smith as [=McGonnagal=]. Simple, obvious casting.
** All the movies [[CompressedAdaptation cut too much stuff]], I'm afraid of what will happen to ''Deathly Hallows''...the film will be split in two parts?!
*** But it's probably going to be PG like ''Half-Blood Prince''...wait a second, is it PG-13!?
*** THEY'RE KEEPING THE GRINGOTTS DRAGON!
** Wait, did they really put in [[spoiler: the old music from the end of the first film]] at the end?! OHMYGOSH WARNER BROS., I LOVE YOU!
** [[TheUnChosenOne Neville]] declares that he's "[[PromotedToLoveInterest mad for]]" [[CloudCuckooLander Luna]]! [[FanPreferredCouple Yes]]!
** What's this? Creator/JKRowling's writing a screenplay? No doubt for a film adaptation of [[Literature/TheCuckoosCalling of her]] [[Literature/TheCasualVacancy other wor]] -- wait, what's that you say? [[Film/FantasticBeastsAndWhereToFindThem It's set in the Potterverse?]] It's a prequel about the author of Literature/FantasticBeastsAndWhereToFindThem? ''Set in TheRoaringTwenties''? Cue the sound of the fandom ''exploding''.
* In order to mitigate the fact that it's a sequel to ''[[Film/Terminator3RiseOfTheMachines T3]]'', the first thing we get to know about the fourth ''Franchise/{{Terminator}}'' movie is that John Connor is played by Creator/ChristianBale.
** And the score for ''[[Film/TerminatorSalvation T4]]'' is being composed by ''Creator/DannyElfman''. Engaging soundtrack geek {{squee}} in 3...2...1...
** [[http://io9.com/5224631/its-official-arnold-schwarzenegger-will-be-back-in-terminator-salvation This news]].
** ''Film/TerminatorGenisys'': If Arnold back, along with Sarah Connor, played by Creator/EmiliaClarke, wasn't enough, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62E4FJTwSuc the first trailer managed to raise interest]]. (then [[TrailersAlwaysSpoil the spoiler-heavy second trailer]] took some good will down)
* The makers of the 2009 ''Franchise/GIJoe'' [[Film/GIJoeTheRiseofCobra movie]] may have pulled this off by releasing [[http://www.aintitcool.com/node/36084 The first pictures of Snake-Eyes]].
** ''Creator/ChristopherEccleston'' playing the villain [[http://img2.timeinc.net/ew/dynamic/imgs/080508/destro_l.jpg Destro]] is enough to make fans yell, "[[Series/DoctorWho Fantastic!!]]"
** They hired Larry Hama, author of the long-running comic book and shaper of the franchise, as creative consultant, and they appear to have listened to his advice.
*** That's the big one. Let's just say that the Joe fanbase would be perfectly fine with ''GI Joe'' being turned into a yaoi storyline as long as they were assured Hama was involved somehow.
** While hiring the director of the Music/JustinBieber movie to film [[Film/GIJoeRetaliation the sequel]] caused a TaintedByThePreview, the casting of big name action movie stars such as Wrestling/DwayneJohnson as Roadblock and Creator/BruceWillis as Joe Colton made some fans cautiously optimistic. When pics of Snake Eyes's new look came out, fans were happy they ditched the molded mouth). Then the teaser trailer came out. Fans were very happy (the lack of sci-fi and Cobra Commander's new look were two things of note).
* Creator/SeanConnery being cast as Alan Quatermain in the film adaptation of ''Film/TheLeagueOfExtraordinaryGentlemen''!? Excellent.
* ''Film/MissionImpossible'':
** The fourth ''[[Film/MissionImpossibleGhostProtocol Mission: Impossible]]'' is coming in 2011. You're still apathetic about it over Creator/TomCruise's unfortunate mouth-openings? Yeah, me t- ...[[Series/{{Lost}} Sawyer]] is gonna be in it?!? Well, hot damn! And Creator/BradBird is directing!
** [[ActionGirl Ilsa Faust]] stole the show in ''Film/MissionImpossibleRogueNation''! Shame the next movie will probably replace her with a different woman...Wait, Ilsa ''will'' [[http://www.showbiz411.com/2015/12/08/mission-accomplished-rebecca-ferguson-first-tom-cruise-leading-lady-doing-a-second-mi return in the sixth movie]]? Yes!
* Creator/PeterJackson. Creator/GuillermoDelToro. ''Film/TheHobbit''.
** Guillermo is also really in touch with the fanbase- he actually posts on theonering.net message boards.
*** Though [[http://www.theonering.net/torwp/2010/05/30/36920-guillermo-del-toro-departs-the-hobbit/ he'll only co-write]], since [[AttentionDeficitCreatorDisorder he's attached to too many works]] to direct.
*** But didn't leave too late to do the [[Film/PansLabyrinth puppetry work]] and [[Film/{{Hellboy}} monster designs]]!
** And this just in: Creator/MartinFreeman as Bilbo.
*** And Creator/BenedictCumberbatch as Smaug the dragon. It's like a ''Series/{{Sherlock}}'' reunion of some sort.
** Guess what? PJ IS DIRECTING THE FILM. And he's [[SerialEscalation bringing back Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens.]] It's ''actually going to be shot in New Zealand...''
** A FILM OF ''THE HOBBIT'' [[DevelopmentHell WILL ACTUALLY BE]] [[ExecutiveMeddling MADE AT ALL]].
** Everyone from LOTR is returning! (even if they weren't in the book, [[AdaptationExpansion leading the script to some adaptation]])
** [[http://the-hobbit-movie.com/2010/11/30/the-hobbit-movies-will-be-in-3d/ Fans of 3D will certainly like this]].
** Creator/StephenFry as the Master of Laketown.
** Barry "Creator/DameEdna" Humphries as the Goblin King. Even knowing next to nothing about him, I can tell this will be quite a spectacle.
** [[Series/DoctorWho The Doctor]] comes to Middle Earth. Creator/SylvesterMcCoy is Radagast!
** And Legolas is back! You can hear the ensuing squeeing from the other side of the planet.
** Creator/SaoirseRonan as an elven archer.
** The trailer is in. And Creator/MartinFreeman ''[[http://www.thehobbit.com/index.html is]]'' Bilbo Baggins. World, get ready, 'cause you're about to be hit over the head with ''just how damn good'' this man really is.
** Back in ''The Fellowship of the Ring'', an unnamed elf extraplayed by Bret [=McKenzie=]] got some attention, and was actually given the name "Figwit"[[note]]an acronym, based on the common fan reaction "Frodo is great... who is that?"[[/note]] by the fandom. In ''The Return of the King'', he reappeared and was actually ''in the credits'' as "Figwit". In the cast of ''The Hobbit'', Bret [=McKenzie=] is returning as Lindir, a character who actually appeared in the original books[[note]]''Fellowship'', to be precise[[/note]].
* [[Film/LordOfTheRings Speaking of hobbits]], Peter ''who?'' The guy who made those [[TypeCasting schlock horror flicks?]]...wait...what's that?
** Fans of ''Film/HeavenlyCreatures'' never doubted that Jackson was [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-vUl-1FJ9E the perfect choice]].
** He convinced them to make ''how many'' films? For ''how'' much? '''[[SerialEscalation At once]]?'''
** ''[[SceneryPorn Did you see those set photos]] [[DoingItForTheArt of Bag End]]!!!?????''
** Creator/ElijahWood as Frodo Baggins? Forget acting, Elijah Wood, you ''are'' Frodo Baggins! Get him before his eyes grow to normal size! OK, this film ''must'' be made.
** Creator/IanMcKellen as Gandalf? Creator/ChristopherLee is Saruman? This is getting good!
** "They got '''Film/{{Rudy}}''' to play Samwise?!! OK, [[IveHeardOfThatWhatIsIt I don't know who that is]], but it sounds cool..."
** They hired a Tolkien linguist? They hired Alan Lee and John Howe? What's the BAD news!?
** "Ian Holm as Bilbo? Ian Holm ''is'' Bilbo!
** "''Stuart Townsend'' as Aragorn? Yes! Oh, crap, he pulled out. Now they'll get this nobody to do it... [[HilariousInHindsight who's this]] Creator/ViggoMortensen guy?"
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-7x5D3v6jE This: the first trailer]]. I remember seeing this in the cinema and thinking: this is going to be awesome.
* A ''Film/{{Tron}}'' [[Film/TronLegacy sequel movie]]? What's the catch? ...Creator/JeffBridges is coming back to play Kevin Flynn? NIIIIIICE....
** And [[http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2008/12/24/tron-20-adds-original-castmember-bruce-boxleitner-to-roster/ Bruce Boxleitner]] as the program himself? REALLY NIIIIIICE....
*** Though Boxleitner was a given considering the fact that he reprised his ''Tron'' roles ''twice'' in ''[[VideoGame/TronTwoPointOh Tron 2.0]]'' and ''VideoGame/KingdomHeartsII''.
** And Music/DaftPunk is doing the score.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZL1W5gwN7g This is what a rejoicing fandom sounds like.]] In 2008, there had been rumors for several years that Steven Lisberger had been trying to pitch a sequel to ''Film/{{TRON}}'', but nothing concrete had ever been announced. Now, Disney is holding a panel at San-Diego Comic-Con to promote ''Film/RaceToWitchMountain'', and at the end of it, the studio rep says they're going to show a video for another project they have in the works. The audience sees a dark sky, a neon-lit city, a man with a glowing suit, and the whispers start: "Is this ''TRON''?" They're not sure -- a lot of other sci-fi settings could look like this. Then the lightcycle materializes around him with the original sound effects! A huge cheer erupts... then they see that Jeff Bridges is back on board and the crowd goes NUTS.
** In [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLIzyI4lafw this Youtube clip from ComicCon 2009]], you can clearly hear fans having a religious experience as their walk through Flynn's Arcade ends at...'''an actual lightcycle'''.
** '''[-[[http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Pixar-Writers-Brought-In-To-Work-On-Tron-Legacy-Script-19550.html AND NOW BRAD BIRD AND MICHAEL ARNDT HAVE BEEN BROUGHT TO WORK ON THE SCRIPT.]]-] [[PunctuatedForEmphasis YEAH!]]'''
** They shot epilogues for the DVD? THAT MENTIONS THE VIRAL CAMPAIGN?! WITH RAM?!?! Pre-ordered now.
* When the cast for [[TheFilmOfTheBook the film of]] ''Literature/{{Twilight}}'' was announced, to say that fans went into an uproar would be an understatement. From complaints that [[Creator/RobertPattinson Robert]] "[[Film/HarryPotter Cedric Diggory]]" [[Creator/RobertPattinson Pattinson]] wasn't good looking enough to play Edward, to people whining that Bella was not being played by [[Creator/EmilyBrowning Emily]] [[Film/ASeriesofUnfortunateEvents "Violet Baudelaire"]] [[Creator/EmilyBrowning Browning]], there was InternetBackdraft to be seen miles away. And then promotional pictures, trailers and behind-the-scenes stories came out, winning back the fandom's support. Even so, there remained a [[UnpleasableFanbase small, but nonetheless vocal, faction]] still [[AccentuateTheNegative complaining about anything they could think of.]] All of them still went and saw the movie on the day it came out.
** As for the sequel, ''New Moon'', another was pulled off when Creator/DakotaFanning was cast as CreepyChild vampire Jane.
* Creator/WillFerrell in a ''Film/LandOfTheLost'' movie? I'll watch the trailer...lame...lame...lame...lame...SLEESTAK! Okay, you sold me.
* ''Film/ScottPilgrimVsTheWorld''. Creator/MichaelCera as the titular [[PlayingAgainstType Scott Pilgrim]], yawn. Creator/MaryElizabethWinstead playing Ramona Flowers, could be interesting. [[Series/{{Spaced}} Edgar]] [[Film/ShaunOfTheDead Freakin']] [[Film/HotFuzz Wright]] directing the film, SCORE!
** Then the first image from the film was released, involving a [[IncendiaryExponent flaming]] [[KatanasAreJustBetter katana]] and a backflip. [[http://www.edgarwrighthere.com/media/ultraculture.html The internet's response]].
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtKAfoIllbo The first trailer has come. Epic Epicness!]]
** And the game of the movie. [[TheProblemWithLicensedGames Eh...]] I guess Beat 'Em Ups are fun. Maybe... wait, Anamanaguchi is doing the music? And Paul Robertson is doing the sprites? Holy crap! Please welcome The New Ultimate Jesus [game]!
* The live-action adaptation of ''Film/WhereTheWildThingsAre''. Hmmm, not really feeling it... wait, you said ''Creator/SpikeJonze'' is directing this? And Karen O of the Music/YeahYeahYeahs is writing the score? And the teaser trailer uses a rare acoustic version of ''Arcade Fire's Wake Up?!?'' Two tickets, please!
** Then there's the promo video in which the book's author Creator/MauriceSendak gushes over how great the film is.
** For many, the best moment came when they saw the first trailer and saw, holy crap, real puppets instead of 100% CG.
* The ''VideoGame/WorldOfWarcraft'' movie will be directed by Creator/SamRaimi, of ''Franchise/EvilDead'', ''Film/SpiderMan1'' and ''[[Series/XenaWarriorPrincess Xena]]'' fame. YES.
** And they explicitly told Uwe Boll to go screw himself when he expressed interest in it. DOUBLE YES.
* The ''[[Film/EdgeOfDarkness2010 Edge of Darkness]]'' film adaptation. For some it was Creator/MelGibson and Creator/RobertDeNiro (later replaced by Ray Winstone). For some it was Creator/MartinCampbell, director of ''Film/GoldenEye'', ''Film/CasinoRoyale2006'' and the [[Series/EdgeOfDarkness original miniseries]].
* It's recently been confirmed by Fox that there will be another ''Franchise/{{Alien}}'' film. "Ugh, you got to be kidding me, '''another''' ''Alien'' movie? It better not be another crappy ''[[Film/AVPAlienVsPredator AVP]]'' movie...HOLY HELL!! Creator/RidleyScott is directing! And it's a prequel! [[Film/{{Prometheus}} Redemption is at hand!]]"
** How about Creator/NoomiRapace as the protagonist?
** Years later, seeing that [[Film/{{District 9}} Neill]] [[Film/{{Elysium}} Blomkamp]] was doing a fifth ''Alien'' that will ignore all movies since ''Aliens'' while bringing back Ripley ''and Hicks''.
* When ''Film/QuantumOfSolace'' showed that Film/JamesBond went back to the iconic PPK, the fans went wild.
** After the disastrous ''Film/DieAnotherDay'' [[TaintedByThePreview they're rebooting the Bond films with]] [[ReplacementScrappy an actor everybody hates]]. Then they saw the movie, including had the book's "The bitch is dead" ending and suddenly fans were all "[[Creator/PierceBrosnan Pierce]] who?"
** Among a few moments, ''Film/{{Skyfall}}'' had the confirmation of Music/{{Adele}} doing the theme song.
** Eon is trying to bring Adele and Creator/SamMendes back for the 25th film! Yay!
** It may be [[DevelopmentHell premature]], but Music/{{Muse}} wants to do the next Bond [[http://music.ign.com/articles/102/1025253p1.html theme]]. Yes, ''[[Music/KnightsOfCydonia that]]'' Music/{{Muse}}.
*** They were going to do the entire score for ''Film/{{Clash of the Titans|2010}}'', but after recording 40 minutes of material decided it was too intensive to continue.
** Wait a second, [[NebulousEvilOrganisation SPECTRE]] is coming back for [[Film/{{Spectre}} Bond 24]]? Whut? It will feature Creator/MonicaBellucci, Creator/AndrewScott and Creator/ChristophWaltz as the main villain? Waltz may be playing [[BiggerBad Blofeld]]? They are bringing back [[Film/CasinoRoyale2006 Mr.]] [[Film/QuantumOfSolace White]]? All plotpoints left hanging might get resolved? Get out!
* They're making a movie out of ''Theatre/MammaMia''? Oh God, musicals have just hit a new lo- wait. Did you just say they cast ''Creator/MerylStreep'' as Donna? Yes!
* Interest in ''Film/PiratesOfTheCaribbeanOnStrangerTides'' was fairly low until it was revealed it would be a new story ejecting everything apart from Creator/JohnnyDepp and Creator/GeoffreyRush, whose awesome-cred had survived the [[BrokenBase third film intact]]. The news that movie would be based on Creator/TimPowers' book ''Literature/OnStrangerTides'' which had inspired both the first Pirates movie and also ''VideoGame/TheSecretOfMonkeyIsland'', which is often heralded as also inspiring the series. There is now much greater interest in the project.
** [[Creator/IanMcShane Ian McShane]] is Blackbeard. ''The'' Ian [=McShane=] is Edward Teach himself.
** ''Film/PiratesOfTheCaribbeanDeadMansChest'' deserves a mention. A sequel hook... so they're going to try and find Jack Sparrow... they need a captain? Norrington perhaps, it wouldn't be Governor... [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XCx9yxjZyI oh, oh him. Yes!]]
* People were uneasy about the ''Film/PrinceOfPersiaTheSandsOfTime'' movie adaptation, [[VideoGameMoviesSuck admittedly with good reason]]. Details trickled out such as the casting of Jake Gyllenhaal as Prince...Dastan, giving a name to the [[NoNameGiven previously nameless]] Prince. Then Jordan Mechner, the man behind the original game, was revealed to be involved ''very'' heavily with the project, and photos trickled out, [[MrFanservice mostly of shirtless-Gyllenhaal]]. No one seemed to be willing to commit to a strong opinion either way even after these revelations, though. It was the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgEt-4L3fKQ trailer]], which contained intense action sequences with LeParkour that was so emblematic of the Prince, as well as [[DeadpanSnarker his trademark snark]], that had people saying "holy crap, this might actually be the [[OverlyNarrowSuperlative greatest video game movie ever!]]"
** It gets even better if you [[AllThereInTheManual read the manual]]. Aside from Jordan Mechner's involvement, who do they get to help with the stunts? [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Belle David Belle]], the ''founder of parkour''.
* When Games Workshop announced the much-awaited ''TabletopGame/{{Warhammer 40000}}'' movie, the fan reaction was generally like "Meh, [[SpotlightStealingSquad Ultramarines]] [[CreatorsPet again]]...", but then the people heard that Creator/DanAbnett is going to write the script -- and there was much rejoicing.
** The voice acting talent includes Creator/JohnHurt, Sean Pertwee and ''Terence Stamp''. Woweee!!
*** Amusingly enough, this won't be Pertwee's [[VideoGame/FireWarrior first]] [[http://ultramarinesthemovie.com/ WH40K voiceover performance]].
*** Much of the fanbase was quite put down upon seeing the two early trailers featuring less than fantastic CGI and rather bland action. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vF_VLZotWc And then this happened...]]
* So there's another ''[=W40K=]'' film, probably Marines again... Wait a moment, it's called "''Film/TheLordInquisitor''"? It's not focused on Space Marines? Gray Knights are in it?! And Holy Emperor, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjaYW5Cnr5k what a trailer]]!

* From the start, it was blatantly obvious that the ''Film/TheSorcerersApprentice '' movie would be InNameOnly. The trailer reveals that brooms are still going to come alive!
* Creator/RichardCoyle is Moist Von Lipwig in Sky One's ''GoingPostal''. YES!!!
* The announcement that Creator/RobertRodriguez would be directing ''Film/{{Predators}}'' was ''very'' much welcomed.
* After being in DevelopmentHell for nearly 20 years, Creator/BryanSinger being announced as the director of what became ''Film/SupermanReturns'' was seen as one of the best omens any fan could hope for. And Creator/KevinSpacey as Lex Luthor was some nice icing on the cake.

** Just to sweeten the deal: for Conan's dad they cast ''Creator/RonPerlman!!!''
** And the BigBad? ''[[Film/{{Avatar}} Stephen "Col. Quaritch" Lang.]]'' This one is a bit divisive, considering Creator/ArnoldSchwarzenegger's newfound availability to play "King" Conan.
* Creator/JossWhedon released at least [[Film/TheCabinInTheWoods three]] [[MuchAdoAboutNothing more]] [[InYourEyes films]] in 2012 besides ''Film/{{The Avengers|2012}}''.
* Another remake of ''Franchise/{{Godzilla}}''? It's being made by [[Film/ThreeHundred Legendary]] [[Film/TheDarkKnight Pictures]]!? AWESOME!!!!

** Well, the monster is probably going to look-'''''[[http://www.movieviral.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/gojira_page.jpg HOLY HELL!]]''''' And the fandom wept with joy....
** David S. Goyer writing the screenplay is another good sign.

* ''Franchise/{{Frankenstein}}''. Directed by Creator/GuillermoDelToro. With Doug Jones as the [[FrankensteinsMonster Creature]]. With creature design by Bernie Wrightson.
** They're doing an adoptation of [[Creator/HPLovecraft At The Mountains of Madness]]? And Guillermo is writing and directing? He's assured it stays ''true'' to the story with no tacked on romance? And Creator/JamesCameron is producing?
** Disney's doing ''The Haunted Mansion'' ''again''? Didn't you learn your mistake last--GUILLERMO DEL TORO! Let's face it, he makes everything better.
** Hmm, let's see...''Creator/GuillermoDelToro!'' Your film is now [[MemeticMutation diamonds]]. It works!
* This was the original reaction to a ''Film/ANightmareOnElmStreet2010'' remake: Hmmph, might as well not bother, it's just another generic 80's slasher remake, who cares... wait, '''Creator/JackieEarleHaley''' is playing Freddy?! WHOO!!!
** Subverted by many ''Nightmare'' fans, however. To them, only Creator/RobertEnglund can properly be Freddy.
* They're making a remake of ''Film/TheKarateKid''? I don't know- Creator/JackieChan is in it?!
* Wait, an ''Literature/AtlasShrugged'' film adaptation! They cast Ethan Cohn and are splitting it into two parts!

** Aided by the fact that Creator/ChristopherNolan was producing and fan favorite Creator/HenryCavill has now been cast as the Film/ManOfSteel. You will believe once again that a man can fly.
** Creator/AmyAdams as Lois Lane!
** Creator/RussellCrowe as Jor-El has been getting this same reaction as well.
** As more and more info comes out, like [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6DJcgm3wNY the latest trailer]], it's increasingly clear that it's not as DarkerAndEdgier as people assumed.
** [[http://collider.com/wp-content/uploads/man-of-steel-michael-shannon-600x437.jpg Here's]] the first image of Creator/MichaelShannon as General Zod! This is so badass!
** There's the Man of Steel sequel coming out. That's cool and wait? It's going to feature [[http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/JoshWildingNewsAndReviews/news/?a=83754 BATMAN!?!]] The dream movie featuring the World's Finest is coming to a reality.
*** And whose Batman, but Creator/BenAffleck. Batman, the Man without Fear!
** Following that announcement, they're also planning a ''[[TheFlash Flash]]'' film and a JLA one for 2016 and 2017 respectively!
** Creator/JasonMomoa's in talks to appear in this movie? *crosses fingers* Please be playing ComicBook/{{Hawkman}}, please be playing ComicBook/{{Hawkman}}...
** If all of that was not enough to make You have a fangasm, there was the news that, after years of struggles and failed attempts and when it seemed like it was never going to happen, Wonder Woman will finally be making her first big screen appearance. Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman all in the same film and that's only what we know so far?! When is this film out again?
** The movie's panel during SDCC 2014 is several fandom rejoicing in quick succession. First we have the first official image of Gal in her Wonder Woman costume being released, which several fans are happy with, which is ''then'' topped by the panel dropping a teaser depicting Batman in his bat-armour from ''ComicBook/BatmanTheDarkKnightReturns'', shining the Batsignal on a spot in the sky--revealing Superman prepping his heat vision! The attendees went ''nuts''. To top it all off, ''Creator/HenryCavill'', ''Creator/BenAffleck'', and ''Gal Gadot'' all showed up for the panel, which marks the first time EVER that the Big Three--the Holy Trinity of DC--appeared together in the flesh!
** Ladies and gentlemen, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpPb3PFqMBw the teaser]] is here. You may jump in excitement now.
* Creator/KarlUrban claims that Comicbook/JudgeDredd will ''not'' take his helmet off in ''Film/{{Dredd}}''. A good first indication that the film will not be like the disaster that was [[Film/JudgeDredd the Stallone version]].
* The announcement that ''Franchise/StarWars'' would be released on Blu-Ray was accompanied at Celebration V by a video of a deleted scene from ''Return of the Jedi'' of Luke building his green lightsaber. The fandom's rejoicing could literally be heard.
** October 30, 2012. Creator/{{Disney}} drops $4 billion to buy Lucasfilm and its associated properties, including Creator/IndustrialLightAndMagic and, yes, the rights to ''Franchise/StarWars'' and ''Franchise/IndianaJones''. The purchase is accompanied by the announcement of... THE SEQUEL TRILOGY.
*** Creator/JJAbrams is directing ''Film/TheForceAwakens''. And Creator/LawrenceKasdan is writing it. In other words, the ideal artistic situation for ''Star Wars'': Lucas just supplied general ideas, while staying at least arms length while proven artists with genuine talent develop them into real stories.
** [[Creator/MarkHamill The]] [[Creator/CarrieFisher big]] [[Creator/HarrisonFord three]] are going to be in the movie! So are R2-D2, C-3PO, and [[BackFromTheDead Chewbacca]].
** Creator/MaxVonSydow is going to be in the movie, and he's possibly a bad guy!
** Creator/JohnWilliams is returning to score the film. On top of that, it was revealed that the Sequel Trilogy will use less CGI and more authentic props/sets/etc. Seriously, this keeps getting better and better.
*** For those unconvinced about the practical effects part, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfNiC9iKM0Q say hello to our first revealed character]].
*** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWBGrkc360M And now we get an X-Wing]]. The mouse droid was an added bonus.
** Some people were worried about Disney's ContinuityReboot of the ExpandedUniverse, even after they announced they would reuse concepts from the EU. One such worry is that [[EnsembleDarkhorse Boba Fett]] would not come BackFromTheDead after [[DroppedABridgeOnHim going out like a punk]] in ''Return Of The Jedi''. However, Creator/GeorgeLucas himself said that Fett never died in the Sarlaac Pit in ''either'' continuity - and whatever he says, goes. [[ScapegoatCreator George Lucas]] [[SubvertedTrope is not so bad after all]]!
** After the initial cast revealed that Daisy Ridley was the only new female main character, fans were afraid that the sequels would be victim of TheSmurfettePrinciple like it happened in the previous two trilogies (even if these movies at least will two female main characters instead of just one). Fortunately it was shortly announced that it wouldn't be the case, as more women in leading roles were announced. And among those women are Lupita Nyong'o, who's an Oscar winner, and Gwnedolyne Christie, well known for her role as [[TVSeries/GameOfThrones Brienne of Tarth]].
** [[http://io9.com/holy-syrio-forel-is-joining-star-wars-episode-vi-1629303966 Miltos Yerolemou is joining the cast of the movie.]] To clarify: '''[[Series/GameOfThrones Syrio Forel]]''' is joining the cast of the movie!

** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTNJ51ghzdY The behind the scenes look]]. Can whoever's chopping onions please stop?
* After the lackluster performance of ''Film/PrinceCaspian'' at the box office (compared to the first film), there was doubt that ''Film/TheChroniclesOfNarnia'' film series would continue, despite that ''Prince Caspian'' being one of the less popular entries in the series. Disney lost faith in the series and ended their involvement with Creator/WaldenMedia, leaving fans to speculate if another studio would pick them up. Then Fox swooped in, gave new hope to the series, and promptly delivered a mind-blowing trailer for ''Film/TheVoyageOfTheDawnTreader'', a near-universal fan favorite.
** Also for many, Creator/LiamNeeson and Creator/TildaSwinton as Aslan and the White Witch, respectively. And holy crap!? Creator/EddieIzzard voicing Reepicheep?! Unfortunately, Eddie won't be reprising the role, but Creator/SimonPegg will be replacing him and may be just as awesome.
** After a lull in the series after the release of ''Literature/TheVoyageOfTheDawnTreader'' there was universal glee with news of a adaptation of ''Literature/TheSilverChair'' and easing worries that the series would be left incomplete.
* Man, it sucks to be an American {{horror}} fan these days. The only good horror movies are being made in Europe and East Asia, they all go [[DirectToVideo straight to DVD]] with zero promotion when [[NoExportForYou (or if)]] they get here, and most American horror movies are either [[TheRemake remakes]] (of either the classics or of [[ForeignRemake the aforementioned foreign films]]), [[{{Bowdlerise}} heavily sanitized]] by [[MediaWatchdog the MPAA]], or [[BMovie Z-grade]] garba... wait, [[http://www.joblo.com/arrow/index.php?id=23744 you're telling me]] that ''Film/HatchetII'' is getting a wide theatrical release? '''[[UnratedEdition Unrated]], with the {{gorn}} fully intact?''' Holy shit, there is still hope for American horror!
** Sadly, that's about where the good news ended with this one. The film's release in UsefulNotes/{{Toronto}} and UsefulNotes/{{Montreal}} was canceled due to it being unrated, and every theater chain except AMC[[note]]And even then, they only screened it as part of their AMC Independent program.[[/note]] refused to carry it for the same reason, meaning that its release was shrunk from "wide" (more than a thousand screens) to just 68 theaters for only four days. And then the reviews came in, and said that the film was SoOkayItsAverage at best, falling into the "Z-grade" part of the above description more than anything else.
* A DoubleSubversion occurred with ''Film/InterviewWithTheVampire''. The initial subversion was when Creator/TomCruise was cast as Lestat, [[WTHCastingAgency sparking protests]] from Creator/AnneRice and a fair number of fans. The double subversion? Anne Rice saw the final cut of the movie and publicly took back all of her complaints about the casting, telling her fans they would love it.
* The ''Film/EndersGame'' movie is FINALLY SavedFromDevelopmentHell. Wait, is that the writers from ''Film/StarTrek'' working on the script? [[http://www.slashfilm.com/true-grit-star-hailee-steinfeld-play-enders-game/ WHO'S PLAYING PETRA?]]

* Marvel's ''ComicBook/{{Runaways}}'' film was met with the normal amounts of trepidation. However when the casting notices failed to mention that Nico was Asian American you could almost here the collective fandom about to draw breath to scream. However, before they could Marvel issued another press release specifically stating that they were looking for an Asian American actress and the press release would be adjusted accordingly. This not only gave the fandom the idea that Marvel were trying to stay true to the original comic but [[Film/TheLastAirbender it wouldn't be a repeat of other recent adaptaions]].
* It's been three years since the release of ''Film/{{Grindhouse}}''. Not our fault that it failed in the box office since the Weinsteins released it on of all times, ''Easter''. Wait, what's this about a [[DVDBonusContent "Don't" commentary]] [[Creator/EdgarWright Edgar]]? ''Grindhouse'' on Blu-ray? The theatrical cut on DVD and Blu-ray?! '''With ALL the fake trailers?!!!''' [[note]]Plus the "Hobo With A Shotgun" trailer on Blu-ray[[/note]]. '''ALL IS FORGIVEN!!'''
* ''Film/ResidentEvilAfterlife'' will probably not be so great, so why bother? Wait, [[spoiler:CHRIS REDFIELD himself is ''finally'' in it?!]]
** Also, Sienna Guillory was announced to reprise her role as Jill after not appearing in ''Film/ResidentEvilExtinction'', although [[spoiler: she only appears in the last 30 seconds as a SequelHook under Wesker's mind control.]]
** After four movies of being absent, [[spoiler: Leon Kennedy and Ada Wong]] were announced for the fifth movie.
* As if [[Film/SherlockHolmes Guy Ritchie's adaptation of]] ''Literature/SherlockHolmes'' wasn't fantastic on its own, you could practically hear the moment the internet broke when Creator/StephenFry himself announced he was cast as Holmes' brother Mycroft.
** [[Series/{{Fringe}} Jared Harris]] as Professor Moriarty? Very unexpected, but not a bad choice at all.
** And Creator/NoomiRapace will play a role as well.
* Most fans were indifferent to the rumored ''Franchise/MassEffect'' movie, at best; as soon as [[http://social.bioware.com/forum/Mass-Effect/Mass-Effect-News-and-Announcements/Mass-Effect-Movie-announced-2717410-1.html this thread]] was posted, though...the people who made ''Film/TheDarkKnight'' and ''Film/{{Watchmen}}'' are producing the movie? Casey Hudson as one of the executive producers?! It'll be an original story and ''not'' an adaptation of the game?!
* ''Film/BillAndTed 3''. Creator/KeanuReeves and Alex Winter will be returning as Bill and Ted, with the original creator/writer duo of Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon as well. To further cement things, in an interview Winter said that the movie will retain the spirit of the originals without giving into "retro cynicism".
* Early response to ''Film/LastOfTheMohicans'' (1992), especially among Native Americans: that MightyWhitey film about [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin disappearing Indians]]? Puh-leezzz...wait, Kevin Williamson is coming back to write it? Time to mark April 15 on the calendar, this is gonna be ''awesome!'' ** And [[http://www.joblo.com/arrow/index.php?id=26044 this international trailer]] seems to have gotten the fans pretty pumped, judging by the comments.
* Anyone seeing the trailer for ''Film/YourHighness'' for the first time must have felt this. We already knew Creator/NataliePortman was in this, then we find out it also has Creator/ZooeyDeschanel! Two nerd goddesses in the same movie!
* A new ''Franchise/{{Ghostbusters}}'' movie? That's cool. Wait, Creator/ElizaDushku? And not as some heroine, either, ''as one of the new Ghostbusters?!?'' This one may have induced ''actual'' orgasms.
** The fact that the original cast and director are attached also helps.
*** Creator/BillMurray won't do it?! Wait, Creator/SigourneyWeaver is backing it? Creator/RickMoranis might be coming out of retirement?! What's the release date?!!
* They're making ''Franchise/TheDarkTower'' into a movie?! And they're getting Creator/JJAbrams to ''direct''??? No, Abrams has pulled out. Who will they get to replace him...RON HOWARD??? And they're getting JAVIER BARDEM to play ROLAND??????!!!!
** Annnnnnnnnnnd...the project has been shelved.
* A ''Film/{{Fright Night|2011}}'' remake? Wait, Creator/DavidTennant as Peter Vincent?
* [[Film/DjangoUnchained A sorta-remake]] of ''Film/{{Django}}'', one of the greatest cult westerns of all time, directed by Creator/QuentinTarantino?
* Creator/StevenSpielberg announced in mid-2011 that [[Film/JurassicWorld a fourth]] ''Franchise/JurassicPark'' film will be made. Once the actual trailer came out four years later, the excitement could not be held!
** They're also bringing back Dr. Wu from the first film. And Mr. DNA. And...is that Rexy? The T. rex from the original?! The same one that saved the humans from the raptors?!! THE QUEEN OF THE DINOSAURS IS BACK!!!
*** Three Words: "Open Paddock Nine"
* The 25th anniversary of ''Film/BackToTheFuture'' brought not only remastered Blu-Ray versions of the movie and its sequels, but a [[VideoGame/BackToTheFuture video game follow-up]] starring Creator/ChristopherLloyd [[spoiler:and Creator/MichaelJFox in the finale]], and theatrical re-releases of the movie. Great Scott!
** What could Universal possibly be planning for the 30th- whoa, wait. [[http://www.rollingstone.com/movies/news/back-to-the-future-musical-confirmed-for-2015-20140131 A MUSICAL for London's West End is in the works?!]] '''With Creator/RobertZemeckis and Bob Gale involved with writing, along with Creator/AlanSilvestri composing the music and Glen Ballard (known for being involved with Music/MichaelJackson's music) writing the lyrics?!?!''' This is heavy!
** Well, it seems that the musical has been pushed back to 2016 instead. BUT! [[http://www.slashfilm.com/back-to-the-future-comic-book-series/ There is a comic book series coming,]] that will fill in gaps from the movies and beyond. '''Including how Marty and Doc met.'''
* Oh great, an English-language remake of ''Film/{{Oldboy|2013}}'', one of the best 21st-century Korean films is going to be ruined. . Wait, Creator/SpikeLee is directing? Maybe this has potentia- CHRISTIAN BALE MIGHT PLAY LEE WOO-JIN? And Josh Brolin is already signed on for Oh Dae-Su, as icing on the cake.
* ''Film/LesMiserables2012'': Oooh, sweet, they're making a film version of ''Theatre/{{Les Mis|erables}}''! With Cameron Mackintosh producing and Tom Hooper directing! Fantastic! And hey, Creator/HughJackman is playing Jean Valjean. That could work! And Creator/RussellCrowe as Inspector Javert. Well, that will either go very well or very badly. Creator/AnneHathaway as Fantine - wonderful! But nothing too spine-tingling yet...wait, '''Creator/HelenaBonhamCarter''' as Mme. Thenardier??? YES PLEASE!!!
** I'm sorry, did you just say ''Colm Wilkinson'' (the original Valjean) is going to play the Bishop? BEST. CAMEO. ''EVER.''
*** When the first images of Colm as Bishop came out, ''the entire fandom'' stopped everything else it was doing and just squeed like crazy over those. Colm's appearance is the most highly anticipated part of the movie for some people.
** The one casting decision ''no one'' has complained over and ''everyone'' has celebrated (quite a feat in a fandom as divided as the Les Mis fandom)? The casting of some of the West End actors as the barricade boys. Killian Donnelly's casting as Combeferre alone caused some of the greatest collective squee fandom has seen in a long time. Because everyone adores Killian Donnelly. When Fra Fee, Alistair Brammar, and Jamie Muscato were also announced as fellow Barricade Boys, it was just the icing on the cake for many.
*** And who's going to be Enjolras, the [[EstrogenBrigade fangirl-bait]] leader described in the book as "angelically beautiful" and belting out some of the most glorious notes in musical theater? Why, it's the golden-voiced, extremely beloved Broadway leading man Creator/AaronTveit, best known for swinging around poles in ''Theatre/NextToNormal''. That sound you hear is the collective swoon of the fandom.
** It's Samantha Barks of the 25h Anniversary Concert as Eponine!!! Both Lea Salonga and Frances Ruffelle are rejoicing.
** Hadley Fraser as the Loudhailer has also gotten a pretty positive reception, to say the least.
* Creator/BenicioDelToro has signed on to play a "mystery part" in the sequel to Creator/JJAbrams' ''Film/StarTrek''.
** Aaaaaaaaaaand that seems to have fallen through. Wonder who's going to be repl- Creator/BenedictCumberbatch [[http://trekmovie.com/2012/01/04/exclusive-sherlock-star-benedict-cumberbatch-cast-in-major-star-trek-sequel-role/ as the villain, you say]]? Sweetness.

*** [[http://www.entertainmentwise.com/news/74943/Benedict-Cumberbatch-Will-Play-Khan-In-Star-Trek-2 Looks like he'll be playing none other than]] KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNN!!!
** Speaking of which, a lot of people remember [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkZFWr0vR8Q this trailer]], also known as the ultimate fangasm. "Well, this film looks interesting. Something's obviously being built... Ooh, a UsefulNotes/JohnFKennedy voice-over, and a voice-clip of the first moon landing, I wonder if the movie will be about that... Wait, I recognize the shape of that ship... and is that Creator/LeonardNimoy saying... THE ENTERPRISE!?! OMG, STAR TREK'S BACK!!!!!"
** In another example, ''Series/StarTrekEnterprise'' has now been shown as being part of the Star Trek universe in BOTH realities; meaning that all the criticisms that ''Enterprise'' is not truly part of the Star Trek universe have been rendered invalid.
** [[RuinedForever Fandom went nuclear in the worst way]] when it was announced that Bob Orci - 9/11 conspiracy nut who many blame for ruining ''Film/StarTrekIntoDarkness'' - would be replacing J.J. Abrams as director, despite having no directing experience whatsoever. Everyone heaved a huge sigh of relief when [[http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/389701-breaking-bob-orci-removed-from-star-trek-3#/slide/1 this]] was announced.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CloKbXtD28 Another cliche romance comedy]]? So what if it has Creator/JasonSegel, Creator/AmyAdams, Kermit the F- wait, ''THE'' Kermit the Frog? Miss Piggy too? "Are there [[Franchise/TheMuppets MUPPETS]] in this movie?!" [[Film/TheMuppets OH MY GOD THE MUPPETS ARE BACK! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!]]
** And now, ''there's a SEQUEL''!!! HUZZAH!
* [[Film/TheAmazingSpiderMan A Spider-Man reboot]]? I dunno- Wait... the Lizard is the villain? Niiice.
** And a wise-cracking Spidey is just icing on the cake.
** So they're making a sequel and wait a sec... they've changed Spidey's costume for it? And it looks more comic-accurate than the original costume from the first one? Sweet.
* They're doing another remake of ''Film/{{Carrie|2013}}'' just ten years after [[Film/{{Carrie 2002}} the last one]]. Directed by Kimberly Peirce? Alright, ''Film/BoysDontCry'' was pretty good, let's see who they're casting as... ''[[Creator/ChloeMoretz CHLOE]] [[Film/KickAss GRACE]] [[Film/LetTheRightOneIn MORETZ]] IS PLAYING CARRIE?'' '''With Creator/JulianneMoore as Margaret?''' Screen Gems, shuddupandtakemymoney!
** Though of course, [[VocalMinority some fans]] remain unconvinced and feel that Chloe is too pretty to play Carrie, who was described in the book as unattractive and pudgy.[[note]]The {{irony}} inherent in the fact that the lead actress is being attacked for her looks, given that the film and the book it's based on are about bullying and the horrors it produces, seems to be lost on them.[[/note]] In addition, it makes one wonder just ''how'' they're gonna be able to shoot the opening shower scene without [[PaedoHunt running afoul of the law]], since Chloe will be [[JailBait only 16]] when the movie comes out.
** Wow, [[http://themadbutcher.deviantart.com/#/d4uf9mm this]] is a pretty cool fan-made poster of Moretz as Carrie. Kimberly Peirce [[http://www.horror-movies.ca/2012/04/fan-made-carrie-poster-attracts-directors-attention/ likes it too]]? Even cooler. She based the ''official'' [[http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1345170944/tt1939659 teaser poster]] on it? SWEET! Looks like she knows what she's doing.
** It's gonna be rated R, and not a watered-down PG-13? Sweet!
** And now Creator/BrianDePalma, the maker of the first adaptation, has given the remake [[http://www.joblo.com/horror-movies/news/how-does-brian-de-palma-feel-about-a-new-carrie his stamp of approval.]]
* Why is [[Film/AnchormanTheLegendOfRonBurgundy Ron Burgundy]] making a random appearance on Conan? To anounce a sequel after 8 years? ''Great. Odin's. Raven.''
* Creator/TimBurton is making a ''Film/DarkShadows'' movie and it's a ''comedy?'' Written by ''[[Literature/AbrahamLincolnVampireHunter Seth]] [[Literature/PrideAndPrejudiceAndZombies Grahame]]-[[Literature/HowToSurviveAHorrorMovie Smith]]?'' '''Set in TheSeventies?''' Awesome!
* Creator/MelGibson is getting weirder and more controversial each day. Don't think his career can get any worse. Wait, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGKfF6d8TH8 that's]] [[Film/GetTheGringo his next movie]]? Man, this will rock!
** ''Film/GetTheGringo'' isn't getting a theatrical US release? Shucks... but it's being released on DVD? Awesome.
* Well, animated films have been getting better lately. All we need now is for good ol' [[Creator/AardmanAnimations Aardman]] to get back in the game. That ''WesternAnimation/ArthurChristmas'' movie they're doing COULD be all right, but you can tell from the trailer that it just won't be the same... wait, what's this? They've got another movie coming out in 2012? Called ''WesternAnimation/ThePiratesInAnAdventureWithScientists''? It's in stop-motion? It's got Hugh Grant, Creator/DavidTennant and Creator/{{BRIAN BLESSED}} doing voices?!? ''[[WesternAnimation/ChickenRun PETER FREAKING LORD]] IS DIRECTING?!?!'' ''AND'' IT'S STOP MOTION?! Dreams ''do'' come true!
* Creator/StephenKing's ''Literature/TheStand'' is being made into a feature film, directed by Creator/BenAffleck, and will apparently be released in ''three installments'', a la ''Film/LordOfTheRings''?
* So they're making an ''Film/{{The Expendables|2}}'' sequel? Cool, who's joining? Creator/ChuckNorris? Creator/JeanClaudeVanDamme? Excellent... wait, was that [[Creator/ArnoldSchwarzenegger Arnold]] firing a gun? ''ARNOLD'S BACK!''
* Sigh, just going to the movies, nothing special is going o--wait did I hear [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6gon66jF8s&list=PLDF6586EF577D406E&index=1&feature=plpp_video "Welcome To Regal Entertainment"]]? REGAL BRUNG BACK THEIR ROLLERCOASTER POLICY TRAILERS FROM THE 90S! WOOHOO!!!!
* The ''Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer'' movie remake has been shelved? Thank goodness!
* Wait, Wrestling/DwayneJohnson announced he was in talks to star in a Lobo movie. Repeat that please...
* The golden rule of horror movie marketing is this: if interest in your film is wavering, and people are responding to the marketing in the wrong way, going for an R rating rather than a "watered down" PG-13 will get a lot of horror fans on your movie's side. Even better is getting into fights with the MPAA over a potential NC-17 rating, or with other countries' {{media watchdog}}s and {{censorship bureau}}s over a potential {{ban|nedInChina}} -- that's an easy way to tell people that your movie has [[BloodierAndGorier "extreme"]] written all over it.
* An ''[[Film/EvilDead2013 Evil Dead]]'' remake, written by Creator/DiabloCody, without [[MemeticBadass Ash Williams]]? I'm not sure it- wait, you're telling me that Creator/SamRaimi and Creator/BruceCampbell are producing it? And they've seen finished footage from the film and given it their thumbs up?
* Huh, they finally made a movie out of TheLoneRanger. Looks.... wow, that actually looks pretty awesome! Wait.... IS THAT JOHNNY DEPP AS TONTO?!
* Creator/PierceBrosnan won't be reprising his role as Chiron in the next ''Film/PercyJacksonAndTheOlympians'' movie? Aww, man! Who'd they get to rep - [[Creator/AnthonyStewartHead ANTHONY STEWART HEAD]]? Why the hell didn't they cast him the first time around?
** Wait, Creator/NathanFillion is Hermes? Creator/MarkHamill is Tantalus? YES! And Annabeth's hair is finally blonde! HALLELUJAH!
* Creator/GuillermoDelToro is doing [[Film/PacificRim a new movie]]? Awesome! {{Kaiju}}! Giant robots! Wait... is that [[VideoGame/{{Portal}} GLaDOS]]?
** Near the end of the first trailer: Wait, what's that robot doing with the ship? Did he just use it to bash the monster?!
* ''Film/AGoodDayToDieHard'' [[http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=98909 is going to be R-rated!]] (and that was the last time anyone was optimistic)
* Euch, a new Creator/EliRoth movie? Godda-wait, he co-wrote it with someone else? This might not suck!
* The ''Film/LittleShopOfHorrors'' Blu-Ray has the long-lost KillEmAll ending restored back into the movie, and presented in color, for the first time since test screenings!
* A new ''Film/ChildsPlay'' movie? And it's not goofy and jokey?
* So, the ''Literature/HonorHarrington'' movie was announced two years ago, and seems to be in DevelopmentHell. Oh, well... wait, they're still working on it? And they'll be starting with ''Honor Of The Queen'' and not ''On Basilisk Station''? Excellent.
* A reboot of ''Film/TheThreeStooges''?? Thank you, Movie Production Beings....
* So ''Literature/AWrinkleInTime'' is getting a movie? Sweet, with all the interdimensional travel it's sure to be interesting—[[Disney/WreckItRalph Jennifer]] [[Disney/{{Frozen}} Lee]] is writing the screenplay? This should be good!
* A new ''[[Film/TheJungleBook2016 Jungle Book]]'' movie? Ugh, this is gonna be a train wre--wait, Creator/JonFavreau is directing? Creator/IdrisElba is Shere Khan?! Creator/ScarlettJohansson is Kaa?! Creator/LupitaNyongo is Raksha?! Creator/ChristopherWalken is King Louie?! Creator/GiancarloEsposito is Akela?! Creator/BenKingsley is Bagheera?! BillMurray is Baloo?! This may not be so bad...
* ''Jungle Book: Origins''? Do we really need two live action adaptations of this boo--AndySerkis is Baloo?! Creator/BenedictCumberbatch is Shere Khan?! Creator/ChristianBale is Bagheera?! Creator/CateBlanchett is Kaa?! This should be interesting...
* A film version of ''Theatre/IntoTheWoods''? Eh, I dunno, I'm not sure about some of the cast and Rob Marshall has been [[Film/{{Chicago}} hit]]-or-[[Film/{{Nine}} miss]] when it comes to musicals and it's [[{{Disneyfication}} Disney]] so the whole thing will probably end up LighterAndSofter and [[http://youtu.be/2Byk9Is3TjY is that the trailer]]? Wow, this might actually be awesome!
** The first trailer showed none of the singing and was met with mixed reaction among fans. Later trailers showed the singing and increased anticipation for the film.
* ''Film/{{Pixels}}'' had an example RottenTomatoes' assessment [[http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/prometheus_2012/news/1929997/weekly_ketchup_prometheus_2_announced_for_2016/ shows this trope heavily]]:
-->For a while now, we've been referring to Sony's adaptation of the FX-heavy short film ''[[http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xcv6dv_pixels-by-patrick-jean_creation Pixels]]'' as an Creator/AdamSandler movie (he's also producing through Happy Madison), but this week, [[RuleOfSeanConnery a new cast member signed on that might force us to re-evaluate our opinions.]] ''Series/GameOfThrones'' costar Creator/PeterDinklage is in final negotiations.
** Then RT [[http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/1208128-tyson/news/1931199/weekly_ketchup_jamie_foxx_joins_mike_tyson_biopic/ did it again]] when discussing the licensed arcade games whose characters would be featured in the movie.
* They're making a sequel to ''Film/{{Beetlejuice}}''? After nearly 30 years? Ugh, this is probably gonna be a train wre--wait, what did you say? ''Creator/TimBurton is directing, and Creator/MichaelKeaton and Creator/WinonaRyder [[http://www.mtv.com/news/2058846/winona-ryder-beetlejuice-2/ are reprising their respective roles]]?!'' '''SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!'''
* ''Film/Sharknado3OhHellNo'': What? Nova from the first ''Film/{{Sharknado}}'' film is reprising her role? Oh Hell Yeah!
* So, Warner Brothers is making a PG-13 horror film? Bet it's gonna be some cheap teen slasher movie and....Wait? It's a movie version of ''VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys''? ScottCawthon is directly involved? They're gonna be as faithful to the original lore as possible? Sounds awesome!
** They're probably going to use hideous CGI for the animatronics, right? Nope! They're going to use actual animatronic puppets and costumes courtesy of Creator/JimHenson Studios.
* A live-action ''Disney/BeautyAndTheBeast''? The original film is perfection, is this really necessary?....Wait, Creator/EmmaWatson as Belle? Creator/EmmaThompson as Mrs. Potts? Creator/IanMcKellen as Cogsworth? Creator/JoshGad as Lefou? All right, Disney, ''now'' you have my attention.
* ''Film/TheRockyHorrorPictureShow'' is getting a remake for TV...it's possibly going to suck with all these poor casting choices Fox has made so far...wait a minute, Music/AdamLambert's going to play Eddie? And Creator/TimCurry is the Criminologist? This might be worth a watch!
* Literally the only thing most ''WesternAnimation/{{Jem}}'' fans liked about the ''Film/JemAndTheHolograms'' film was Music/{{Kesha}} as Pizzazz. She had been a popular choice amongst fans for Pizzazz in a theoretical live action ''Jem'' film for years. [[spoiler:Now if only she had been in the film beyond TheStinger... They really missed out on their chance to have Ke$ha scream and throw fits as [[SpoiledBrat Pizzazz.]]]]
* {{Creator/Hasbro}} is going to make another cinematic universe. [[Film/TransformersFilmSeries The]] [[Film/GIJoeTheRiseofCobra leading]] [[{{Film/GIJoeRetaliation}} franchises]] are obvious, but it seems [[Toys/{{Micronauts}} they'll be]] [[{{ComicBook/ROMSpaceknight}} betting on]] [[{{WesternAnimation/MASK}} more obscure]] [[{{WesternAnimation/Visionaries}} brands]]. [[http://static.seibertron.com/images/misc/uploads/1455390282-tfweb0.png And one of them seems to begin as a direct crossover...]]
* J-Horror fans must have lost their collective minds when the Ringu/Ju-on crossover was announced...
* The success of the [[Film/KamenRiderXSuperSentaiSuperHeroTaisen last]] [[Film/KamenRiderXSuperSentaiXSpaceSheriffSuperHeroTaisenZ two]] Super Hero Taisen movies lead to [[Film/HeiseiRiderVsShowaRiderKamenRiderWarsFeaturingSuperSentai a third one]], this time with focus leaning more towards the Riders. Sadly, though, the previous two movies used a lot of Fake Shemps, and this movie puts focus on every primary Rider, so it seems like once again, other than recent ones...wait, [[Series/KamenRiderFaiz Faiz AND Kaixa]]? WITH THE ORIGINAL ACTORS? And hold on... [[spoiler: Keisuke Jin, Series/KamenRiderX, is returning with his original actor?! And... so is [[Series/KamenRider Takeshi Hongo?!]]]]
* Star Wars: Rogue One was already getting a fair amount of buzz, but once it was confirmed that ''Darth Vader'' would be in it, AND voiced by James Earl Jones...well, search YouTube and you'll find a compilations of reactions to that little bit of news.

-->'''Hiccup:''' THIS IS AMAAAZIIING!
* ''WesternAnimation/ThePeanutsMovie'':

Excellent.
* ''Film/MissionImpossible'':
Yes!
* Creator/PeterJackson. Creator/GuillermoDelToro. ''Film/TheHobbit''.
* Creator/WillFerrell in a ''Film/LandOfTheLost'' movie? I'll watch the trailer...lame...lame...lame...lame...SLEESTAK! Okay, you sold me.
* ''Film/TheATeam'' movie? Meh. (On the other hand, no Creator/MrT.) On the ''other'' other hand, [[Film/{{District 9}} Sharlto Copley]] is Murdock.
** [[Creator/BradleyCooper Bradley]] [[Film/TheHangover Cooper]] as Face.
** Liam loves it when a plan comes together!
* "They're doing a live action version of the anime cult classic ''Anime/SpeedRacer''? It's probably gonna be some generic "realistic" reimagining...wait, [[Film/TheMatrix The]] [[Film/VForVendetta Wachowskis]] are directing this?? And they've got an all-star cast, with John Goodman as Pops just to sweeten the deal?? This is gonna be awesome!!"
* ''From Paris With Love'': Another film where Creator/JohnTravolta continues to ruin his career. Man he was so good in his early da... [[ActorAllusion DID HE JUST HAND SOMEONE A]] [[Film/PulpFiction ROYALE WITH CHEESE!?]]

''AND'' they're [[OneOfUs fans of the show]]?! '' '''AND''' '' they're going to go for actors who are ''actually'' Asian!? GOD'S IN HIS HEAVEN! AND ALL IS RIGHT IN THE WORLD!!!
* They're remaking ''Film/ConanTheBarbarian1982''? Meh. Wait, they cast [[Series/StargateAtlantis Jason Momoa]] in the title role? Awesome!
AWESOME!!!!
** And being supervised by the director of ''Film/GodzillaVsHedorah?
** Well, the monster is probably going to look-'''''[[http://www.movieviral.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/gojira_page.jpg HOLY HELL!]]''''' And the fandom wept with joy....
** David S. Goyer writing the screenplay is another good sign.
** A picture of the big guy was taken from Comic-Con [[http://www.indiewire.com/static/dims4/INDIEWIRE/f07df54/4102462740/thumbnail/680x478/http://d1oi7t5trwfj5d.cloudfront.net/dd/1b12b0fe8511e1baf122000a1d0930/file/newgs.jpg]]. There's hope for Godzilla yet!
** Frank Darabont is doing the final script!? There will be '''two''' monsters for Godzilla to fight? They've cast Creator/ElizabethOlsen, Creator/AaronJohnson and Creator/BryanCranston as the main roles!? There's even more hope!
** And now Creator/KenWatanabe is part of it!!

* They're making a remake of ''Film/TheKarateKid''? I don't know- Creator/JackieChan is in it?!
* Wait, an ''Literature/AtlasShrugged'' film adaptation! They cast Ethan Cohn and are splitting it into two parts!
* A GreenLantern movie starring Creator/RyanReynolds? Is the movie ''out yet?!''
* [[Film/SupermanReturns The last Superman movie]] wasn't so great. The sequel languished in DevelopmentHell, and at a certain point the studio decided to turn into a DarkerAndEdgier reboot. Then Creator/ZackSnyder was confirmed as the director of ''Film/ManOfSteel''...

** [[http://www.slashfilm.com/harrison-ford-actors-sought-enders-game/ Hey, what's this Slashfilm article?]] Creator/HarrisonFord is playing GRAFF?
** [[Series/{{Merlin 2008}} Mordred]] was cast as Ender!? YES!!!!
** What's THIS article? [[http://www.slashfilm.com/ben-kingsley-mazer-rackham-enders-game/ BEN KINGSLEY IS PLAYING]] [[spoiler:MAZER RACKHAM?]] Ticket please!
Based on an adventure novel about {{Noble Savage}}s written in the 1820s? One year after ''DancesWithWolves?'' DO NOT WANT. Featuring the [[UsefulNotes/AcademyAward Oscar]]-winning [[Creator/DanielDayLewis actor]] from ''My Left Foot''? Wait...''Russell Means'' is playing the title character? The leader of '''[[LaResistance The American Indian Movement?]]''' [-And he's wielding a [[http://www.hotflick.net/flicks/1992_The_Last_of_the_Mohicans/992LMC_Russell_Means_003.jpg spiked club?]]-]
* They're finally making ''{{Rent}}'' into a movie? WITH ALMOST THE ENTIRE ORIGINAL CAST?
* ''Film/QueenOfTheDamned'' movie? Okay...Oh God, ''[[WTHCastingAgency that's]]'' [[WTHCastingAgency Lestat?]] Wait, and he's singing? It sounds great, though...OHMIGOD IT'S THE GUY FROM Music/{{KORN}}! (and in fact the musical score is the only thing that had some impact and good reception in that movie)
* [[Film/{{Scream 4}} A fourth]] ''Franchise/{{Scream}}'' movie, after how much [[Film/{{Scream 4}} the third one]] sucked? And a decade after the films were last relevant? Puh-leezzz...wait, Kevin Williamson is coming back to write it? Time to mark April 15 on the calendar, this is gonna be ''awesome!'' [[note]]Some explanation -- Williamson wrote the first two ''Scream''s, but not the third. Guess which one is the BlackSheep of the original trilogy.[[/note]]
** And [[http://www.joblo.com/arrow/index.php?id=26044 this international trailer]] seems to have gotten the fans pretty pumped, judging by the comments.
* A ''Film/{{Fright Night|2011}}'' remake? Wait, Creator/DavidTennant as Peter Vincent?
Sweetness.
** [[http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2012/02/24/star-trek-2-photo-benedict-cumberbatch-zachary-quinto/ Behold, set photos.]]
''Great. Odin's. Raven.''
* Creator/TimBurton is making a ''Film/DarkShadows'' movie and it's a ''comedy?'' Written by ''[[Literature/AbrahamLincolnVampireHunter Seth]] [[Literature/PrideAndPrejudiceAndZombies Grahame]]-[[Literature/HowToSurviveAHorrorMovie Smith]]?'' '''Set in TheSeventies?''' Awesome!
* So they're making an ''Film/{{The Expendables|2}}'' sequel? Cool, who's joining? Creator/ChuckNorris? Creator/JeanClaudeVanDamme? Excellent... wait, was that [[Creator/ArnoldSchwarzenegger Arnold]] firing a gun? ''ARNOLD'S BACK!''
