Kiawe, the Fire Dancer, and Mallow, Who's Not a Marshmellow.

Kiawe's trial was pretty funny. It started out simple, where all I had to do was memorize the dances his Alolan Cubone did. But after the first one...

Some Hiker joined in! No seriously.

After pointing out the Hiker,I battled him. It was pretty simple.

And the third round was the best! Salandit's evolution, Salazzle, showed up. He/she's pretty cool looking. Too bad I already have a fire type on my team. I'll probably use Salandit next playthrough.

THE OPTIONS FOR POINTING SALAZZLE OUT.

  • The Totem Pokemon
  • The Black Pokemon
  • The suspicious Pokemon

... They were funny. They were all obviously for Salazzle.

Good news. Before fighting Salazzle, I managed to get Gyarados. Quite disappointed he didn't get an Alolan form, but hey, he already has a Mega Evolution.

I got my good ol' Fire Z-Crystal and cleared the trial. Overall, it was an easy, but humorous, trial. Kiawe is quite a fun character, just due to how shocked he is at how you pointed out something so obvious.

Salazzle's fight was kind of on the medium scale of the difficulty scale. I don't have any water-type moves for Gyarados yet, so, I winded up using Epona, my Mudbray, for the last few turns of the fight.

Next up was Mallow's trial. I evolved Steenie into Tsareena, one of my favorite Pokemon revealed for this generation.

I finally unlocked Poke Palego. That happened. Hooray! All the Pokemon in my PC can finally live happily!

I moved on to Mallow's trial, which took a little while, but was fun. I like Mallow's character. She's a happy-go-lucky grass-type trial captain cook, but it seems she overspices her meals sometimes.

The goal for Mallow's trial was to find the ingredients for a meal she was cooking up so she could lure the Totem Pokemon, a Formatis, to me so I could battle it. As mentioned before, it took a small while, but overall, it was a fine, if a bit uneventful, trial.

Formatis' battle was on the easy side for me, personally. It's probably because I was using Rockbell the entire time.

It turns out Mallow is pretty good friends with Lana and Kiawe. Which is nice, because they're the elemental-starter triangle captains.

For some reason, every time I see Mallow's pigtails, I get reminded of the pigtail hairstyle in Fire Emblem Fates.

Aloha everyone, next time, I will be writing about my time battling Olivia, the best waifu-I mean, Kahuna of Akala island, and my visit to the Aether Foundation.

I'm going to add a "Current Team" section so nobody gets lost on my team.

Current team: Rockbell the Torracat (Female), Susano the Gyarados (Male), Tsareena (Female), Epona the Mudsdale (Female), Tubbs the Snorlax (Male).

Fun Fact: When Hau first mentioned "Malasada", I had no clue what it was. Looked it up, apparently, it's a Portuguese delicacy. I'm surprised they included that in a Hawaii-inspired region.
