John introduces himself to Jane, making a Freudian Slip about how he'd like to "make her" or rather, meet her. Jane thinks that "At least he speaks his mind," but thinks he's cute. John complains about how generic his name sounds (Blame the writers), and suggests he change his name to "Tarzan."

Jane has to go, and John invites her to lunch later. Jane doesn't want to seem too eager and wants to see how he handles rejection. John then frantically asks for dinner, a weekend in Paris or five minutes of conversation, an odd case in which he makes his promises more grandiose before making them humbler.

After a buzzer sounds, Harry returns, with a red beret, and says that Jane is slipping away, even though she wants to meet him. He then asks us what strategy John will pursue.
