In this part, we going to finish up Channel #2. This time is the optional rules we going to cover. This starts with the commercial breaks. It's the usual roll off — which the player who sent most OOMPH from the last commercial or since the beginning the episode against the game master. If the Game Master wins, he roles does the first Commercial Break table — if the player wins he rolls on the second commercial break. When I first look thought, I thought the table hasn't changed since Season 2. Let's just say CAH:S3 give me a setback there. Using them is up to you — can have none or you spring 3 commercial breaks on your players.

Here's what you will find on Game Master table — one that hadn't be changed won't be explained unless I roll them up while playing them.

  1. Roll of 1-4: No Effects
  2. Roll of 5: "Snack Commercial"
  3. Roll of 6: "Time to devise a new Trick!" (CHANGED — From the role book: "One villain GMC of the GM’s choice gains a new Trait at rating 4 (for Human-Tiered series), 8 (for Superhuman-Tiered series) or 12 (for Cosmic-Tiered series) for the rest of the episode. This rating may be given one Special Rule."
  4. Roll of 7: "Bad Situation!"
  5. Roll of 8: "Commercial for the villainous action figures!"
  6. Roll of 9: "Lost momentum during the break"
  7. Roll of 10: "Continuity error!"
  8. Roll of 11: "Commercial for villainous playset!" (CHANGED! — From the rule book: "The GM’s Oomph pool increases by 2 for the scene that follows the commercial break (whether it’s a continuation of a scene in progress or a new scene altogether)."
  9. Roll of 12: "Overly long commercial break!"

Here's what you find on the player's Commercial Break table — one that hadn't be changed won't be explained unless I roll them up while playing them.

  1. Roll of 1-4: No Effect
  2. Roll of 5: "Schoolhouse Rock N Roll"
  3. Roll of 6: "Time for Time-O"
  4. Roll of 7: "Kid Power" (CHANGED!— From the rule book: "The kids watching the show want the villains to fail so badly that it actually affects the show. A random player gets to force a villainous GMC to subtract 4 from his check total. This must be declared before the roll is actually made and must be used before the next commercial break. It can only be used once."
  5. Roll of 8: "Commercial for the heroic action figures!"
  6. Roll of 9: "Commercial for heroic action figure with variant accessories!" (CHANGED — From the rule book: "A random PC gains a new Trait at rating 4 (for Human-Tiered series), 8 (for Superhuman-Tiered series) or 12 (for Cosmic-Tiered series) for the rest of the episode. This rating may be given one Special Rule."
  7. Roll of 10: "Continuity error!"
  8. Roll of 11: "Commercial for heroic playset!" (CHANGED! — From the rule book: "The P Cs gain an additional point of Oomph."
  9. Roll of 12: "Overly long commercial break"

Next up is "THE MOVIE" rules. Game Master must warm the players that the next few seasons will stand for animated movie of the action cartoon series. The Game Master can the following rules: All P Cs and the GM begin with 1 or 2 more OOMPH; Setback Token from physical damage don't go away — instead characters lose Setback Token for every subsequent scene they are involved in; hen a character is defeat by action that could actual harm that check should be make using a trait that is either the charcter's willpower or durability — if the base number is the rating of the Traitt that could the defeat — and if the character fails this check — he's dead; after the movie is finished, characters that play a role can immediately improved as it was the end of a season.

Next optional rules is "Trait Usage Limitations" — if a trait is used with out creative behind it, it can only be used three time per scene. For each use beyond that DN for that trait will cumulatively increase 2. Penalties will go away at the end of scene.

Are final optional rules is "Lingering Effects" and here's what the rule book has to say about that: "Given that an Insta-Defeat represents particularly severe trauma of some sort, the GM may rule that an Insta-Defeated character begins the next scene with a Setback Token. This reflects the fact that he’s still worse for wear even some time later, which certainly has happened in the retro-toons on occasion"

Next is a 12-page long climax to a episode of "Warriors of Cosmos" episode. I mention a few of favorite parts with the page number in parenthesis so you can find them yourself.

  1. 1: Sabrina's money remark. (Page 64)
  2. 2: Messila's remark about bad luck wit the dice during the last session (Page 71.)
  3. 3: Messila's Motor-Mouth remarking "Hey! I heard that!"
  4. 4: Nobert's aside about studio promoting his Chillout's new action figure. (Page 78.)
  5. 5. Theo's remark about Eye-Catcher's line that sounds like he's in love with Motor-Mouth and wants him for a pet. (Page 83)

That's all from CHANNEL #2. We going to start CHANNEL #3 in the next part.
