Chapter 9: The Thugs Who use Sand Attack

And so, after a long time resting in the pokemon center (and a slight schedule slip), Scarlet finally decided to head into Mt. Moon, but got sodetracked on the way, and ended up levelling Creme up to level eight.

[[Musik's Notes: Turns out Jigglypuff doesn't actually learn any attacking moves until level nine. Sing did help me catch some other 'mons, but still...]]

So, Creme training completed, Scarlet finally got around to encountering zubats going into Mt. Moon. Guess what she ran into first?

Actually, it was a Geodude. It was named Geminine and popped into the PC box, taking its hallowed place among the greats, like Derpking.

[[Musik's Notes: Thanks to Jackuen Kangajii for the name. In fact, you can pretty much credit most names her to him. He's the only one who seems to suggest them. Thanks man! And to the rest of you: Get suggestin'!]]

Continuing through the caves dank abyss (see: large rocky corridors), our intrepid adventurer found a TM for Bullet Seed, which an incredible... none of her pokemon could learn. Maybe she could trade it for something useful with BATMAN. If he was feeling slightly-not-dickish.

Continuing, she fought against some kid who seemed to be lost.

Bug Catcher: Hey there! Have you seen any Weedle? I have it on good authority that they're found in this cave!

Scarlet frowned and tried to take out her pokedex, and attempting to show the man he was wrong.

Bug Catcher: You refuse to answer my questions! Have at thee, foul demon!

One slightly unhinged Bug Catcher (who happened to actually have a Weedle) down, and Scarlet continued on her way, or at least she would have, if it wasn't for the fact that she was suddenly swarmed by Zubats.

Bug Catcher: I have it on good authority that Zubat are incredibly annoying! Maybe their irritating appearance scared off the Weedle! Bug Catcher, away!

Managing to fight them off with Blasty's help, she managed to find one of them had impregnated the impregnable fortress that is the common pokeball. Naming him Alexander, she slipped him off to the box.

[[Musik's Notes: Guess Who named this one? You have three guesses, and the first two don't count.]]

Continuing on, Scarlet fought such formidable foes like a Lass with a Clefairy. Climbing down some ladders, she eventually reached a rocky room, with some thug and a Shandshrew.

Thug: I'm inexplicably standing here for no reason what so ever! Boss Battle, sucker!

Scarlet V.S Inexplicable Thug

[[Musik's Notes: I wouldn't count this as a boss battle if it weren't for the fact that this guy gave me more trouble than Brock. Really.]]

Sand Attack is bad Sand Attack is bad Sand Attack is bad Sand Attack is bad Sand Attack is bad

Seriously. I hate Sand Attack. I hate it. So... Much.

Scarlet eventually pulled through anyway (once again, thanks Blasty) and scored a Star Piece.

What other incredibly odd people would Scarlet encounter in the cave? Find out tomorrow!

[[Musik's Notes: As long as it isn't Sand Attack, I'm fine.]]
