Chapter 30: A Wager
Edorion and Estean arrive at Rand’s camp, along with Cairhienen Meresin and Daricain. Cairhien is under attack by the Shaido, and they were the scouts sent in this direction to look for help. Rand sends them back to announce that he’s coming, and starts to prepare his battle plan. And Sulin lets him know a good part of the treasure in Tear is his whenever they get back.
The return of these two is certainly a surprise, and it’s good to see that despite them being more inclined to be nice to Rand now, they still haven’t changed their basic natures much with their views on peasants and such. I still have hope that a Break the Haughty is in the works.
