Chapter 20: Jangai Pass
Rand leads the Aiel to the edge of the desert, where Couladin has already attacked the first town in the way and left it ruined, also taking prisoners. The other Aiel are disgusted, and Rand orders them to take the survivors with them as they continue after him.
Couladin now graduates to Complete Monster, pretty much taking the role of Gregor Clegane. Also noteworthy here is Moiraine incessantly trying to educate Rand, clearly thinking she won’t be around much longer. Rand’s inability to see this gets kind of annoying, but then, he has a lot of other stuff on his mind.

I've just finished the final book in the series, by the way... Feels very odd, since I've been reading the series since the early 90's...
