Rand and many of the Aiel have moved into Rhuidean, now that he’s broken the prophecy by coming out alive twice. Moiraine has gotten Kadere to transport the artifacts to Tar Valon, though no one knows what happened there yet. Couladin is still causing trouble, but they have high hopes for the other clans who haven’t yet arrived. Moiraine tells him he should go back to Tear, while he wants to consolidate all the Aiel into one army first, and starts pulling out terms presumably from Lews Therin’s life, including remembering Ilyena as looking like Elayne. Finally, Egwene tells him Elayne says she loves him.
There’s some more of getting us up to speed here, but thankfully there’s plenty of forward movement too. Rand mistaking Lews Therin’s memories for insanity works for now, but I really hope it’s not dragged out very long, because it’s very obvious that’s what’s happening. And I hope that despite Elayne now being set up as his endgame love interest, he decides to Screw Destiny and go with Min, as she’d definitely be the best fit.
