Chapter 30: Beyond the Oak
With his family dead, Perrin realizes there’s no point to turning himself in anymore, so he decides to try to rescue the people the Whitecloaks have imprisoned. And after Marin gets a Crowning Moment Of Awesome chasing off Cenn Buie when he comes nosing around, she reveals that the Women’s Circle is keeping secret a nearby group of Aes Sedai. Perrin goes off to their camp with two Warders, Tomas and Ihvon.
And we get another moving part added to this subplot, so hopefully this is all leading to something big when all this stuff comes together. And Marin is suddenly someone I’d like to see a lot more of. Unfortunately, there’s also some Character Shilling for Zarine, but it comes early enough that it’s quickly forgotten.
