In which we pack our insecticide

Last time: what. And now, back to your regularly scheduled Persona.

Ah, Mitsuru at the school gates! Just what I needed to cheer my spirit! And she's going to be joining us out in the field! Huzzah! Just what I needed to wash the taste of Pharos and Death out of my mouth. Today we'll be studying in the library, since I want to get to Tartarus without any interruptions. After all, we have a new party member to try out! Before that, however, Elizabeth has things she wants to say. Another blocked path opened up for us. Woo. Okay, onwards to Tartarus! Not to mention a certain something that I'm sure at least one person has been waiting for. For this run we'll be switching out Akihiko with Mitsuru for a bit to see what kind of things she can do. And as I barely had any money after that shopping trip, she'll have to run with the High-Cut armour for now. We'll get something better for her after this run, don't worry. Then again, I'm fairly sure I heard a distant squeal of joy, so maybe someone's happy about Mitsuru being stuck in that armour. Anyway, into Tartarus proper.

Right, our team's all stocked up and ready to rock, so let's brave the terrible trial that is the third block! Well, right after beating down some Pope Ghosts and overgrown turkeys, that is. Mitsuru's style of attack is very... flashy, I'll give her that. Lots of quick strikes in the traditional fencing style. In other news, it seems we're still in the second block of Tartarus. Ah well. Also there's a big old enemy on the 50th floor. Will have to keep an eye out for that one. Shouldn't take us too long, considering we're already on floor 42. Oh, and apparently the strong one might be closer than Fuuka thought. How... reassuring. At least our new weapons are carving a path of unholy destruction through the enemies, so there's that. Another thing to note is that now the Shuffle Time cards are getting sneaky, having gained a few new ways to trip you up. So that's fun.

As we ascend the tower, Fuuka gets a clearer picture of our next boss's location. The 47th floor is where our first big nasty lurks, so I make a bee-line for it so that I can easily get to it when I feel ready to fight it. One sorta-bee-line later (look, I saw a Golden Shadow, okay?) and we find ourselves on the 47th floor. Oh, we also levelled up along the way. Honestly, I think we could probably take it as we are, but let's go back and save first. As it turns out, this was a wise move. The enemies (known as Golden Beetles) love to use Attack buffing and Defence lowering attacks, meaning that Yukari and I were pretty much relegated to using healing while Junpei and Mitsuru chipped away at the beetles' health. After a while, though, I discovered that I could use Zio attacks to knock them down. After that the battle was turned into an utter joke. But hey, one more boss down!

I venture far enough up to discover that my next foe lies on the 59th(!) floor, but after a while I decide that I've had enough Tartarus fighting for now. In fact, I'll call it a day here, since we managed to cover rather a lot of ground today. So, until next time keep those various Persona-infused weapons sharp and report back here for more Persona 3!

Hey, I bought this around about half a month or so ago, choosing hard for the first playthrough. It's actually going pretty well so far (Just two days after the Hermit battle.). Of course, I was hilariously lucky within skill mutating and got Fire and then Wind Amp at Level 23 and 38, respectively, or something close. I laughed. Hard. Both times. Anyway, a question: When you zio'd the beetles, did it do the regular amount of damage for striking the weakness, or around about? Because, within hard mode, whereas the weakness is still there (With knockdown and everything.)... it does absolutely pitiful damage, as if it highly resisted it. Just wondering if that's another way hard mode making the game more dickish, as well as the douuble damage (Which isn't that bad really. At the very least, I have been utterly fine with it for now, even with all the OHK's that physical skills tend to provide.) and the fucking tripled compendium prices argh argh argh eh, whatever, it's not THAT bad.

If you'd care for any hints for the parts I have completed, then I'll provide anything that doesn't essentially provide a walkthrough. Part of the fun of this game is creating your own path to take down the constant problems it throws you. However, any general hints or advice, ask me.

Oh, and by the way, seeing as you have never mentioned it beforehand, have you been going towards the mall during evenings to level your interaction stats? If not, then well... Fuck. There's definitely the ability to get, and even max, them, especially the earlier non - stat ones (2 and 4 charm for Moon and Devil, respectively, and 4 courage for Star.), but for the ones requiring, maximum within those stats, it's very improbable. Doable, but improbable. Case within point, I have been doing that sporadically through - out the game (Actually, I dedicated a lot of time after the fourth non - cutscene full moon towards them, after decding that I was probably overleveled at that point: I was getting members joining that were four levels below me, for whatever's sake.) and I only just max'd them around about six days before the next of the moon. So, yes, if you have not been doing that before now, then start now. It doesn't stop you from studying within your room afterwards: It just skips straight towards the "sleep/study" decision.

Sorry if this sound patronizing if you have been doing this already. I just would prefer it to be sure.
