In which we stay frosty

So, a little bit of grinding was done and I saved beforehand, so let's go take down the final tier one boss, the Rampage Drive! This guy is rather tough, I have to say, with a lot of HP and some nasty attacks as well, such as Mazio, an electric attack which hits the whole party. Really it's just a matter of wearing him down and using skills like Cadenza to take him out. I should also note that he is completely resistant to physical attacks, so using magic is key here. All in all, though, he's really not so tough and I managed to beat him at level 7. Beating him gave me a nice level up though, so that grinding didn't go to waste. We also get a Balm of Life from beating him, with a second one sitting in one of two victory chests. The second contains Soma, if you were wondering.

As we enter the 15th floor, Mitsuru notes that something is different about the structure of it. Aesthetically, nothing has changed, but I'll take her word for it. We almost immediately find the stairs up, but that's not really so unusual, considering my past luck with them. I decide to look around a bit more, but as it turns out the floor is really small. Seriously, it's the kind of size you'd expect from a boss room. Weird... As we ascend to floor sixteen, we come across something... different. The stairs up are blocked off by a mysterious green barrier, and the big open room suggests that this will be the scene of a big event... Full moon boss fight? Very likely. Anyway, since Yukari is tired, I let her head on home.

Before we head back home, however, there's a few things I need to take care of in the Velvet Room. After all, we found an old document in the big old room at the top of the school area of Tartarus, and it just so happens that Elizabeth wanted one. For our efforts we get a Bead Chain. I also take the time to fuse Nekomata, Apsaras and Pixie together to make Jack Frost, since we're at the right level to get him. Hee ho indeed, Jack. Hee ho indeed. He immediately levels up from the single rank we have with Kenji, meaning that our already powerful snowman is now at least 4 levels above every other Persona I have. Now bad, Frosty. Not bad. Well, that's about all we can do for the time being, so let's head back to the dorm.

I think I'll cut the update here for the time being. A bit of a short one, I know, but there's only three days until our first full moon, and I get the feeling that we'll be getting some fairly large doses of plot when that rolls around. I might put up another update later today, I might not. We will see. If not, see you all next time!
